Terence's POV:
'What a lovely morning! I woke up just fine, had some breakfast and I'm not running late. Feels good.' I thought as I parked my car in the school parking lot. I gave myself one last glance at the rear view mirror before stepping out of the car. As I was walking I received a text message from Michael, my best friend, asking me where I am.
"hey!! where r u? hope you're still not sleeping with your ass in your bed! you're gonna be late again if you do!" He said in his message.
I replied, "nope, I'm already at school, dickhead! how 'bout you? where you at??" In which he immediately responds with, "on my way, be there in 5 minutes." So I responded with, "okay! see you in class." After hitting send I put my phone back in my pocket.
When I entered the building the hall's already swarming with students. 'Damn! This early? But it's not even 7:30am yet' I said to myself as I stole a glance at my wristwatch and it's already 7:30am, classes start at 8am. "Ohh, guess I have to hurry to get to my locker." I said to myself as I quickened my pace.
As I was passing through the hall and in front of Mrs. Fisher's office, our school principal, through the large pane of glass, I saw Summer inside talking to Mrs. Fisher along with someone from the registrar's office. I've also noticed that there's a guy with them, but I never saw his face 'cause he was facing the other way.
Luckily, my locker ain't that far from the office's door. As I opened my locker, the door opened up and the woman from the registrar's office walked out followed by Summer and the new kid.
"Okay, Ms. Bennett. I'll leave Mr. Williams to your care. He's your responsibility for now." The woman said
"Ohh sure thing, Ms. Parker. Don't worry, I am the President of his new class. I'll take good care of him." Summer replied with a big smile
"Alright, good to hear that. Make sure he gets to his classes and give him a tour of the whole institution. I'll be going now. Goodbye!" Ms. Parker said as she walks away in the opposite direction from us.
"Okay, you ready? Let's go?" Summer asked while smiling, the guy just nodded. She walked past behind me and the guy just followed. I examined him as they're walking away. From just a glance I could tell that he's very shy. Always staring down. For his physical features, he kinda looks fragile, lean body, dark hair, and fair skin. I can't describe his face 'cause I didn't fully see it. Just a side glance. He's not even that tall. Maybe he's in 5'6 or 5'7. I'm way taller, reigning at 6 feet tall.
I'm still looking at them when someone gently smacked my shoulders. "What are you looking at, dude?" Michael asked as he too looked at the direction I was looking. "New kid, Summer's touring him. I think I heard he's gonna be in our class." I replied to him as I closed my locker and locked it. "C'mon, the bells about to ring." I added and he just shrugged.
We took our usual seats as we enter the class. We've only been sitting for like a minute when Summer entered the room. The new kid's not with her. Then Michael poked me and said, "I thought you heard the new kid's in our class?" I just shrugged my shoulders and replied, "I don't know, I thought so too." I was about to call Summer to ask about the new kid when the bell rang and our class adviser walked in.
"Good morning, class!" Mrs. Davis greeted.
"Good morning, Mrs. Davis!" The class greeted back.
