CHAPTER 28 ( Race )

*KAI'S POV*  

"So, why don't you visit her?"

 Krisza asked me like she was only asking about the weather.I had told her about my problems.

 Dumb. 

But I guess, desperation got the best of me. Besides, although she looked uncaring and liberated, something about her told me that she should be trusted. 

So, I did. 

I spilled her all my pity worries, thoughts, and guilts over Pyra. 

"What's the point? I'll only trigger her heart attack again." I replied, bitterly.  

 "Why? What made you think so? Are you planning to piss the hell out of her again?" that was a point blank, bogus innocent question.

 She was smiling slyly.  "Of course not. I'm just saying that the mere sight of me will surely put her in rage." I explained and sipped a couple of water.

That was true.

 Pyra's instant reaction whenever she saw me was scowl in distaste. And after what had happened, I wouldn't expect it to be different. 

Oh, well... I expect it to be different. It's not gonna be "distaste" now. It would be "hatred" and hatred was far worse than distaste. 

"Why don't you find out?" she asked again. 

  "What for?" Yeah, what for?

 For Chen hyung to have a chance showering me with death stares?

 For Pyra's parents to throw me out of the hospital? And worst yet, for Pyra to start trembling again in fury?I did not want to admit it, but I was scared. I did not know that a coward like this existed in me. 

  "The answer is simple. You've got to end your pity worries once and for all." she muttered flatly.  

 I stared at her as if asking if she was really talking to me. Of course she was and she had a point. I wouldn't rest thinking about Pyra if I would not see her for myself.  So, I guess, the best thing to do was put aside all my fears and immediately visit Pyra.

 I sucked air heavily and sighed.  

 "So, when do I visit?" I asked. She flashed me a triumphant grin.  

 "How about yesterday?" was her obnoxious answer.   

Istared at her, open mouthed. But then, considered it. I stood up. I had to change my cloths and head for the hospital.  

 "Wait, there's something you can do for me though. Let's just think that this is your payment for my brilliant advice."  

"What is that?" Now, this was getting confusing and scary.
