It had been a few weeks since Alucard had last seen Adam. He felt bad about leaving him behind in Romania, but he had done what had to be done. He couldn't risk putting a human in danger anymore than he needed to. Besides when he was around Adam he tended to let his guard down and that was something he could not afford to do. I need to keep my head on my shoulders and focus on the task I came here to complete. Varro must be stopped. If he succeeds in bringing Dracula back into this world, that will mean the end of the human population in Romania, and perhaps the world. He must be stopped, if i fail, Adam will die too. Alucard let out a groan, why couldn't he get that stupid human off his mind. Over the past few weeks Adam was all he could think about, he even considered calling him a few times on his cellphone, but thought against it based on their last conversation. Night was falling again and Alucard needed to find a place to spend the night, he started to look up hotels around him when someone walked up to him.
"Adrian Tepes?" a man said, looking him up and down. "Are you Adrian Tepes?"
"That depends on who is asking." Alucard said, eyeing the man.
"I am Roger, I'm from the Belmont organization." he said introducing himself. "Roger Belmont."
"So the Belmonts didn't die out then?" Alucard said with an amused smile. "What exactly do you want with me?" he asked, crossing his arms. Yes this was a Belmont but he was still a human, and as Alucard had come to know, humans always have an ulterior motive.
"The Belmont organization has work for you." Roger said gesturing to a black town car that was pulling in beside them. "I will explain everything once we get back to headquarters. This way Mr. Tepes."
"And why in god's name should I trust you?" Alucard said unmoving.
"Because I am a Belmont," Roger said walking towards the vampire, "And I know what you are."
"Oh?" Alucard said, smiling amused at Belmont's claim. "And what exactly am I?"
"You're a Vampire. The Vampire we have been watching closely." Roger said. "I can explain everything once we are in a safer location. Now please. Mr. Tepes, this way."
"Well if you insist." Alucard said following the man. "I wouldn't get too close to me if I were you. Who knows I might get bored and decide to eat you."
"Vampires don't eat people, they drink their blood." Roger said, opening the car door for Alucard. "Besides I have garlic spray all over my body." Alucard burst out laughing at this. This Belmont had no idea what he was. From the looks of it, this Belmont had only heard half the story. "What's so funny?"
"You sprayed garlic on yourself?" Alucard said chuckling to himself. "You have no idea what I am do you?"

The car finally rolled to a stop in front of a large manor. The building was tall and made of stone, it looked like it was a few hundred years old, the once grey stone was chipped in some places and the colour was fading. The entrance had cracks on it, and above the door was a dragon. Seven stone pillars marked the entrance to the manor creating a balcony on the second floor. The building was several stories tall and Alucard assumed the building had a basement as well. There were flowers growing outside the manor, blue lilies and many other perennials. Alucard let out a deep sigh as he exited the car and walked up to the porch. "Should I expect a room full of Belmonts when I enter this house?" he asked looking at Roger.
"No. not everyone here is a Belmont, just the founders are Belmonts." Roger opened the door revealing a large staircase leading up to an upper floor, a chandelier hanging over the entrance lighting up the room. At the top of the staircase there was a painting of a man who bore the Benmont family crest and a woman dressed in blue robes, in her arms was a small child.
"Who is that?" Alucard said gesturing to the painting as he followed Roger up the grand staircase.
"That is our founders, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belmont, that is their son Adrian." Roger said, smiling faintly. "I assumed they named their son after you." It had been over 400 years sense Alucard had laid eyes on Trevor's face, the faint smile painted onto his lips told Alucard he lived a good life, and he loved well. "It was also said that you knew them, you know, back in the day."
"It was a long time ago." Alucard said, showing little to no emotion. "I don't seem to recall the name." he lied.
"Well here we are, welcome to headquarters." Roger said, opening a large set of double doors. Inside the room were computer screens on almost every wall and a large table in the middle of the room, there were twelve chairs positioned around the table. A few men and women sat in them and others sat in front of computer screens looking at data and video feed from different places around the world. As he walked sheepishly into the room all heads turned to look at him.
"You must be Alucard." a young man said walking over to him. He was almost a mirror image of the Vampire, his hair was down past his shoulders and was a dark blond, he stood a few inches shorter than Alucard, he wore a suit and tie, his eyes burned a bright blue, "I am Kris Camdyn. Elected leader of this organization. It's a pleasure to meet you Lord Tepes."
"Oh, I'm not a lord of anything." Alucard said smiling awkwardly. "However I do have some questions as to why I was brought here against my will."
Kris explained to Alucard everything about what the modern day Bemonts were all about and how Trevor started the organization about 400 years ago. He explained that the Belmont clan had expanded into a secret military force used throughout the United Kingdom and quite often the rest of the world to deal with the supernatural. He explained that they had almost perfected the art of hunting down and killing night creatures and vampires, but they had always waited for Alucard's arrival. When the Vampire asked why, Kris explained how every time he appeared Dracula was not far behind him.
"So you see why we were so desperate to find you. We had heard news that you had left your thumb, so it was crucial that we found you before anything major happened."
"Define major." Alucard said raising an eyebrow at the young human.
"Something like Dracula raising night creatures and attacking one of the cities in Romania major." Kris said smiling, "We are here to help you Alucard, not hinder you. Each and every member of this clan knows the risks of hunting these creatures and is ready to lay down their lives in order to keep Dracula at bay."
"You really think you can take on Dracula?" Alucard said amused at the young man's statement.
"We have all trained for this and now that you're here, I have no doubt we can keep Dracula in his grave." Kris said confidently. "Do you know what this is?" he asked, gesturing to the set of guns at his hips.
"I believe that is something you humans call a gun." Alucard said, staring at it. "It shoots out small metal things that can kill a human in one shot."
"Your right, but this gun doesn't just shoot metal bullets, it fires silver bullets. Silver bullets made from silver crosses that were consecrated. This weapon can kill any night creature or Vampire with a single shot." Kris explained placing his hand on the weapon.
"Well isn't that lovely." Alucard said, turning away from the human. "So if you are all so ready for the rise of Dracula why do you need my help?"
"You've always been the one to stop Dracula," Kris said looking at the Vampire, tilting his head slightly. "We can deal with the night hoards, but taking on Dracula himself, we have never dealt with a Vampire of his maganatide before, and if I'm being honest, I don't know if we can."
"I see," the vampire said, turning to face the young man again. "And I'm guessing you expect me to help you kill my father and stop the end of life as you know it?"
"I don't expect you to do anything." Kris said "I'm asking you to help us defeat Dracula and save the world."
"It's always the same with you Belmonts. You come crawling back to me whenever there is a job you can't complete without me." Alucard said annoyed at this point. "Funny how that seems to work out that way for you a lot."
"I know this seems like we are not capable of doing this ourselves, but in the past the Alucard always aided the humans in their fight against Dracula. And now we come to you again asking for your help in this mission." Kris said looking down. "I am the last of my family, they died in an attack in scotland. I was the only survivor, the Belmont clan brought me back here and raised me and taught me everything they knew."
"They taught you everything?" Alucard said, raising an eyebrow. "So I assume you can cast some rudimentary battle spells then?"
"Magic?" Kris said, looking at the vampire in shock. "Magic is something they said the Belmonts once possessed but it has never worked for anyone before. I assumed that it was a skill that died out."
"It's not something that can simply die, it's just forgotten." Alucard said walking over to the center of the room. All eyes were on him, as if he was presenting a show to the room. He slowly raised his hands, his hair flying behind him. "To control simple magic one must clear their mind of everything they know and see as normal. They must forget all logic of how the world works. Focus their intent on something and see it in their minds' eyes." as he spoke a small flaim started in the palm of his hand growing larger slowly. "Casting a simple spell like this is almost effortless to those who have mastered the arts of magic, but casting multiple spells at once is where things get more challenging." he raised his other hand and slowly but surely a ice shard formed in the palm of his hand. "The ability to split your mind's eye is something that is mastered over years of practice and patience."
"Is it possible to learn these things?" Kris asked walking closer to the vampire as the fire slowly went out. "Or is that knowledge forgotten as well?"
"All things lost in time can be relearned, remastered. But it will take time." Alucard said, "And time is something I'm afraid we don't have much of."
"You're probably right." Kris said, smiling faintly. "Well in the meantime, let's show you to the armory where you can pick out some new weapons. Carrying around such a large sword might call for some unwanted attention. If you know what I mean."
"I hadn't thought of that." Alucard said, he looked down at his sword and it shrank to the size of a pen, "I suppose this might work better." he pulled his hair up into a bun and stuck the now tiny sword through the bun. "Does that work better?" he asked, smiling down at the human.
"Um... ya that works just fine. However I think you might like what we have to offer you in the armory." Kris said as he walked towards the double doors. "If you will Mr. Tepes. This way." Alucard followed Kris down the hallway and to a lift. They took the lift to the basement that served as the armory. It was filled with guns of all kinds, mostly things Alucard was not familiar with. They finally came to the back of the room, it was filled with magical weapons from around the world, some Alucard had seen before, others he was not familiar with. Strange swords hung on the wall as well as a few whips and staff. Encased at the far wall was the legendary MorningStar wip. The chosen weapon of the Belmont Clan of old. Odd they would have it as a wall decoration. Alucard thought to himself.
"Well, you can have your pick of anything down here. All of the weapons in this armory have all been consecrated and are ready to fight against Dracula and his night hoards." Kris said, gesturing to the large room. Rows and rows of guns and words all on shelves and in boxes. "I might have something that you might like." the human said, "there was a weapon box found inside your castle a few hundred years ago. But since no one here knows magic we could never open it. I assume it belonged to you or your father." the human pulled out a large chest, it didn't seem locked but upon further inspection Alucard could see the chest was locked with a dragon's seal.
"I see, this was something I never had much time to look into either." the Vampire admitted. "When I was awake I didn't spend much time exploring the castle, most of my time was spent stopping dracula from raising his armies and stopping him from coming back again."
"That's understandable." Kris said smiling, "Well maybe now that you have a moment you can take a look inside. I mean I'm curious to see what's inside the chest too, it's been sitting here ever since I came here."
"I'd be happy to peak your interest in Vampire culture." Alucard said leaning down, he picked up the box and took a closer look. "Ah, I see. It appears to be a simple spell. Should be easy enough." Alucard placed his hand over the dragon lock and spoke in a language unfamiliar to Kris. "Eu sunt Adrian Tepes. Ascultă porunca mea. Imprumuta-mi puterea ta." The dragon slowly moved unlocking the case revealing two guns, well they looked like guns, they were much smaller than a normal handgun, and much more slender. Alucard reached in and picked one up holding it in his hand. He pointed it at the wall and fired the gun, it was silent and fired a small silver dart.
"These will work perfectly." Alucard said smiling.
"I think they suit you." Kris said smiling faintly, "Now to talk about your armor, we can't have you running around unprotected."
"No need," Alucard said. "I know a few transformation spells. I should be just fine like this."
"If you insist." Kris said, smiling weakly. "I know a little bit about your kind, from what I know you're very powerful, I know one can't believe everything they hear about someone or something, so enlighten me Mr. Tepes, what exactly are you capable of?"
"Well, Kris, that depends a great amount on what you're expecting of me." Alucard said smiling. "But let me put things this way, I'm sure more than half the stories you have heard about me are false, and oversold."
"Well, the Belmonts did like making themselves sound like the heros they were, so it's more than possible some of the stories were embellished a bit." Kris said chuckling as he followed the Vampire to the exit of the armory, the door clanging shut behind them.
