Nagsimula ang sayawan pagkatapos ng opening remarks. Magkasamang nanginginain si Judy at si Caine habang nagkukwentuhan ng mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa kanilang mga sarili. Masaya silang dumukot ng iba't-ibang pagkain nang magsimula na ang pormal na sayawan kung saan maaaring isayaw ng kahit na sino ang nais nila sa ilalim ng mabagal at nakakahalinang maeleganteng tugtugin gaya ng waltz.

"Care for a dance?" Caine offered his courtesy once again.

"Sure," Judy happily reply. "I have two left feet. Can you handle that?" She gave him her hand nonetheless.

"What a coincidence. Me, too." They both laugh their way to the dance floor. He help her place her hand on his shoulder and the other held on tight.

"Two left feet, huh?" aniyang malaman na magaling talaga ito sa pagsayaw.

Ngumisi ito. "What?"

"You're making fun of me, are you?"

Nagkunwari itong walang alam. "No, no I'm not." Sinamahan pa ng iling ng ulo.

Mga ilang minuto sila sa entablado nang yayain siyang lumabas ng binata. "Where are we going?"

"At the gazebo." He's pulling her away from the party.

"That's so far from here." Sa lawak ng isla, kailangan pa nilang magsasakyan kapag pupunta sa kabilang bahagi niyon. Pero hindi lang iisa ang gazebo kaya wala siyang ideya kung saan talaga sila tutungo.

"You'll see."

Nagtaka na siya dahil naging seryoso na ang tono nito. Nagmamadali ang mga hakbang na halos matalisod na siya kahit hindi gaanong mataas ang takong ng sapatos niya. "Wait. I'll trip! Caine!"

"Alright." He stopped. Only to turn to her and lift her up to his shoulder like a sack of rice.

Napatili siya. "What are you doing?! Ibaba mo ako! Caine!"

"I'll explain later."

"Kaya ko maglakad!" Sa hiya niya hindi na siya nakapag-Ingles. Sinubukan niyang maglikot pero parang wala lang dito ang pagpapabigat na pinaggagagawa niya. Bakit bigla na lang nag-iba ang ihip ng hangin? Ayos naman sila kanina ah?

"Shut up for a moment. We'll be there soon."

Walang lakas na sumuko na lang siya. Ano pa nga ba ang magagawa niya eh isa sa pinakanag-e-excel sa sports ang may gapos sa kaniya.

Hindi naman pala kalayuan ang gazebo na sinabi nito. Kaya lang ay madilim at walang tao dahil nasa loob ng mapunong bahagi ng isla ang lugliwanag langd ng buwan ang tanglaw sa kapaligiran ngunit kay ganda pa din ang arkitektura.

Maingat siyang ibinaba nito nang marating nila ang gazebo. Nagtatanong ang mga matang tiningala niya. "Ano ba'ng nangyari? Este--what's wrong? What's with the change of atmosphere?" Hindi maganda ang kutob niya sa sitwasyon kung nasaan siya. Bigla na lamang naging seryoso ang awra na nanggagaling dito. Iba sa nakasama niya sa loob ng kulang isang oras. Umatras siya sa pagtangka nitong paglapitin ang distansya sa pagitan nila. "Caine?"

"How much do you know about yourself?"

"M-me? What do you mean?" Did he run a background check on me?

"Tell me. I want to know. Trust me, Judy. I will bring you no harm. I swear it."

It's not that she doesn't trust him. It's just that even she doesn't know who exactly she is. And that's a fact.

"Okay, I get it. So how about this? I'll tell you something about you, and you tell me at least specifics about you?"

"You know something about me?" Her eyes narrowed in doubt. Disappointing it is but she grew wary of him now.

"Yes. It's really important that I know who you think you are."

"What's wrong with you all of a sudden?" He started to walk towards her. She started to walk the other way. They're like that until she hit her back onto the pillar that's hugged by vines. "Your c-close...!"

"Listen to me. You need to know who--"

"She's right, Magnus. You're damn too close."

Both Judy and Caine's eyes flew the same figure of a man in his black suit paired with black shirt and blue silk necktie.

Valence' eyes were shooting daggers. He's definitely not happy with the scene he just interrupted. He went out for a little while and here he is, encountered something such contemptible event.

"Stay away, Valence," Caine match his glare. He purposely hid Judy behind him, which she totally find far-out. She try to escape but he put grasp on her hand. "Don't come near him, Judy," he authorized not even looking at her. His brows were in one line.

Valence see it worthy of the word treachery. "You've got some guts to order me now, huh, Caine? Where the hell did you damn hit your head?"

"I disapprove of Judy's engagement to you. Therefore it's void. I'll kill you if you get any closer than you already do."

"Over my dead body."

"Same goes for you, bastard."

Everything that happened next were like an action movie taping in Judy's point of view. Valence and Caine were both quick on their moves. Throwing punches and kicks to one another. Sometimes they dodge but the intensity of their fight were not her usual sight of events. Neither of the guys were giving up on putting up a fight. If she were a kick-boxing judge, she'd give them a tie score. But she isn't there to watch them! She got to stop those idiots before someone else finds out!

Though she mean no harm in putting herself between them, the sudden change of events knock her out when the two young men threw a punch that landed on her abdomen and back.

"Judy!" The two bastards exclaim in chorus upon realizing what happened.

She collapse on the ground, unable to scream the pain at least. Groaning in pain her eyes got teary. They attempted to touch her but she shook them off with some roar. "Mga isip bata ba kayo?!"

"Judy, are you alright?" Valence said.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Caine said.

But she's too damn mad at the both of them for giving her pain. Base on the pain she's experiencing she bet it'll start to bruise in the next coming days. "Ano ba'ng nangyayari sa inyo?!" To her anger she didn't care if she curse them with her mother tongue. "Ano kayo mga bata?! Ni hindi ko alam kung ano'ng pinag-aawayan niyo!"

"He started it!" The guys blame in chorus.

"Oh, fuck you both! Ugh...!" She stood by herself even though her body's aching. She forget she's wearing heels and staggered. Before her body hit the ground once more, Valence had caught her in his arms.

"Sorry. Let get you checked," Although he was seriously concern, she can't help but be pissed even more.

"Visiting the clinic thrice in a row is not my thing," she blabber. She accepted his support anyway.

"I have been your friend for a long time, Valence," Caine is mad for some reason too. "but I'm not handing you someone of importance to me just because your ego tells you to! For the first time in our lives, I am really going to kill you if you don't hand her to me!"

Valence wrapped his arms around her to show his indefinite refusal. "What the fuck are you gabbling about? Go find your own woman."

"She's my sister you asshole!"
