When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

"Brofer! I wanna see the puppy! I wanna" the little girl dragged at her brothers arm in excitement, relentlessly. Her face animated at the small, rambunctious form that bounced around his owner wanting to smell everything and straining against the leash that restricted the poor things movements. The boy looked down at his sister. He knew that he would do anything she wanted, if only the smile on her face would stay.

The boy looked back to their mother, who was sitting quietly on the grass and reading a novel. "Mom!" he called out to her. She looked up at him, her eyes crinkled in apprehension at the caller as she shaded them from the blinding sun. "We're going to say hello to the puppy." The boy bent down and pinched the girl's cheeks, which caused a scarlet color to rise to her cheeks.

"Stop it!"She brushed away his hand, embarrassed and he just chuckled at her reaction. She once again resumed the hand tugging, except this time he allowed her to lead him to the man with the puppy.

The man rounded a corner of the parks center. They followed.

When they caught up to the puppy owner, the little girl squealed in glee, two dimples clearly shown on her cheeks. Just like the puppy, she struggled against the tight grip the boy hand had on her hand. He knew that she shouldn't run off, especially to a stranger offering the joys of being next to a puppy. The boy has seen the shows were 'weirdo's' walk around with a son or a puppy to lure unexpected children to their side.

He knew he was overprotective of his little sister but that was only because he loved her. And ever since their father died, he had taken over the role of a father. He knew that it wasn't the ideal life of a 19 year old, but he believed that it was his duty.

They finally reached the man and the little girl opened her arms for the curious puppy. The boy knew it was rude but he smiled and asked "can she play with him?" as the small form came and hurled itself towards the little girl happily.

The little girl was giggling and the puppy barked at the new play thing it had discovered.

The man watched the boy and girl with a sick pleasure. He knew that this was the perfect way to lure them here, behind this building, were they were now all alone. He knew he didn't have to compel the child but he still had, for extra measures. His motto is: always make sure, without a single doubt, that you will succeed. The man smiled nastily at the little girl, knowing that the little girl was now engrossed with the vile thing that he had brought with him.

The boy wasn't paying attention to the man but to his sister play. He watched her with a smile on his face at the joys of a child.

He never saw what was to come. He never saw that the man had shifted his position. The man was now standing behind the boy and cocked back his head. The little girl looked up at her brother, a huge grin on her face. Until she saw the man behind her brother. The little girl was instantly frozen in fear; the man's face was distorted and looked just wrong in her young mind.
