I remember standing up on that stage, hot lights blaring down, my parents and the rest of the open house tour group starring at me. My palms were sweaty and it felt like a cobra was squeezing my stomach,which wasn't pretty to think about. Everyone was waiting for me to sing, and try out the stage I might be performing on someday. We were at St. Helen's for Exceptional Young Students boarding school in New Hampshire. I opened my mouth and sang the song I had been practicing for months- Seasons of Love from Rent. It was about groundless, timeless love. Taking a deep breath because it was over, I blushed as people clapped. A movement backstage caught my eye.
A boy that I guessed was my age,13,
With deep green eyes and dark shaggy hair flashed me a smile before disappearing. I had some friends at this school, and I had to find out who he was.
