Torn between Love and Hate

Sixteen

Dara stepped out of the balcony over looking the ocean from her resort room. She and Bom finished all their spa events for the day and decided to rest and go back home tomorrow.

Dara recalled her talk with Bom earlier this afternoon. She has never really told anyone of how she was starting to fall for Donghae. They were exclusively dating for more than a year and she really like Donghae but she was just so business driven that she didn't want to commit. Donghae understood where she was coming from and did not pressure her until a few months ago.

He was practically begging her to upt their relationship because he will need to move to Europe for a few years. He's now the new CEO of their inport/export business. His father retired and handed him the business.

"Dara. I am truly in love with you and if you will allow me. I would like to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and spend the rest of your life with me?" Donghae with all sincerity showing in his eyes and face took Dara's hands.

Dara was so shocked that she couldn't say a word. She knows how sincere and honest Donghae is to her and she's also falling for him. But at the same time she's so driven on building her business and also the arranged marriage that her mom had asked her, making it more harder to commit.

"Donghae. Thi...this maybe a test for us. You moving to Europe and me fulfilling my dreams. Being a part from each other maybe good for us. This will tell us if we are really meant to be with each other. If...by the time comes and you still feel the same way about me and hopefully by then, I too will be ready. Then...we know that you and I will never be a part from each other ever again."

Donghae left to the airport with a heavy heart. But he can only wait and be hopeful for whatever the future brings for him and Dara.

When she made the decision to agreed on the marriage, she was only thinking of short term and hoping by the time Donghae comes back from Europe that she will accept his proposal. But that is...if he still wants her. That is a big "IF". It's been over a year now since Donghae left and they have not been in contact with each other ever since he left except for that restaurant incident.

But him suddenly showing up here in SoKor was a big surprise for the both of them. They were never able to catch up because he was only here for a couple of days and she had just gotten married to Jiyong. Though he tried contacting her a few times which she had completely ignored.

Jiyong was at his office working when his phone rang.

"Hello." Jiyong answered.

"Sweet cakes." Jiyong sat up straight as he heard Yu Na's sad voice on the other line.

"Yu Na. Are you okay?" Jiyong replied with worries.

"I'm just sad because I miss you sooo much." Yu Na said from the other line.

Jiyong chuckled as he replied by saying. "We just spent a whole week together sweetheart." Jiyong can be heard laughing as Dara was about to take the stairs to her room. But at the same time he heard women's voices from outside and so he cut his call shortly.

"Sweetheart, I'm sorry to say this but I have to go now. I have an urgent matter to take care of." He didn't wait for Yu Na's reply and just hang up the phone. He can hear the conversation of the two women from outside and was not aware of how close the two are.

"Mrs. Kwon, welcome back." Mrs. Kim called out to Dara.

Dara turned around and greeted Mrs. Kim with a hug. "Hello, Mrs. Kim. How are you?"

Mrs. Kim with her cheerful personality just like Dara bowed her head and took her small luggage. "It was boring without you here." Mrs. Kim said.

Dara and Mrs. Kim both have the same cheerful personality and that's why they get along so well.

"Aww! I'm so sorry to hear that Mrs. Kim. But now that I'm back how about if we bake our favorite double dark chocolate brownies?"

"Ooh that will be lovely my dear. Let me get your luggage to your room then I'll prepare the ingredients."

"It's okay Mrs. Kim. I can handle the luggage and also I'm going to take a shower first. Go ahead and make the preparations ready for when I come back down."

Mrs. Kim happily obliged and went to the kitchen as Dara continued to go upstairs.

Jiyong on the other hand cannot understand his feelings at the moment. He hasn't seen his wife for almost a month now because he had been really busy with work and Yu Na. It may seem like he's been avoiding her and all, because every time he sees her he couldn't explain his feelings towards her. Tomorrow is supposed to be their sixth month wedding anniversary and yet they don't even see eye to eye nor really sat down and talk to each other.

Jiyong decided to go to the kitchen and there he found Dara and Mrs. Kim laughing as they sing and dance to the song of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." He saw Dara swaying her hips as she was facing the stove oven and suddenly bent down to place the brownie tray inside the oven. Jiyong couldn't help but smile to himself as he watched Dara swaying her hips and buttocks up in the air with the music. Jiyong can see how amazing is his wife's hourly shape body. As Dara is wearing a plain cutoff jean shorts and a plain white tank top. Her medium size breasts are nicely shape as well. She then took Mrs. Kim's hands and attempted to turn her around but was not successful because they both noticed Jiyong watching them.

Everything went silent as if...nobody dares to move. Then Jiyong awkwardly cleared his throat and swallowed the smile forming on his face.

"Uhm...I...I was just going to get a glass of water." Jiyong said as he's not sure wether to take a step or not. In the end he did take the step towards the refrigerator. Pretending to encourage them to continue with what they were doing. "Please. Do continue. Don't stop on my account."

Mrs. Kim then suddenly laugh out loud which made Dara and Jiyong looked at each other. Then both of them with a surprised look on their faces looked back at Mrs. Kim. She walked towards Jiyong and took his hands guiding him closer to where Dara is at.

Feeling awkward Dara pretended to be busy with baking and Jiyong did not know what to do and so he went and sat down on a stool bar facing Dara and Mrs. Kim. The music is still playing and Mrs. Kim kept on swaying and humming along while Dara and Jiyong are just awkwardly watching her but at the same time giggling at how funny she can be.
