There are many commands in the game. The main ones you'll need to know as a new player are the following:
/pid

This is perhaps the most important regular command currently in game. This will allow you to get your PID (personal ID number) which is used to help you join groups, but also if you get stuck, need an in-game grow, or other things.
After typing /pid hit enter and a number should show up in your textbox in grey. That is your pid. Try to remember it, but you can always type /pid. (It is the last four numbers of your steam id)

/growth

This command allows you to check what your dragon's current growth is. Growth is important as you can do various things at different growths. Also you can pick up or be picked up by dragons depending on growth. Your growth will pop up in grey text.
