"Wake up son, it's time for your first day at school." said Richard's father. Waking up from a poor night of sleep, Richard slowly opens his eyes. "Ughh. C'mon dad, can't I just stay home?" Ricky whined. "It's already 7:02AM, you need to get ready. Ya don't wanna be late for your first day of 12th grade, do you?" Said Thomas Black, whilst raising his eyebrow. "Daaad, I don't wanna go to fucking school, I wanna sleep!" Ricky whined once again.  "Richard,  we have been over this. I know high school is, well,  a pain in the butt, but you have to take this seriously.  Soon you're gonna be 18, and you need to start being more mature, you can't act like a child when you're looking for a job, you can't skip work whenever you want,  so please son, make this easy for both of us, and get ready." Thomas speeched, whilst putting his hand on Ricky's shoulder.  "Fiiiine dad." Ricky says while rolling his eyes.  "Aha. That's the spirit." Thomas smiled.

Ricky marched downstairs, and saw his mother, Beatrice, making biscuits.  "Oohhoo hoo!  Ma's delicious breakfast, I'm already drooling." said Dalton,  Ricky's 22 year eldest sibling.  "Ugh. I want cereal. " Ricky grumbled, heading towards the Lucky Charms, only to be stopped by his 16 year old sister, Ashley.  "Hold it, squirt.  Mom says we're not supposed to eat these when she's already cooked." while blocking him from the fridge with her hand.  "Shut up, Ash-hole,  you don't tell me what to do." Ricky growled. "Oh no.  Not again." says Hank.  "Yep, he just has to have round 365." replied Alvin, the 12 year old twin of Hank.  Dalton ignores this, while happily munching away at his biscuit.

"You two, break it up!" snaps Beatrice.  "I don't want you two arguing today, of all days.  This is a special day for you,  Richard, Ashley and you too, Alvin and Hank. You both get an amazing new adventure today, and I don't want none of this racket to ruin it. Both Ashley and Ricky sighed, and went back to breakfast.

Ricky then walked into the shower.  He made sure his long, brown hair was pulled back before brushing his teeth, then he hopped into the shower.  He waited 2 minutes for the water to warm up, however, it remained cold.  "Maaan, the water is cold.  Damn Ashley, wasting all the hot water on her precious 'relaxing time'." he mocked.  He was soon clean, and walked out freezing.  He decided to use the hair dryer to warm up his body.  "Surprised I don't got hypothermia, that water was ridiculous. " complained Ricky. After walking out, he got his bookbag and lunch box, and walked to the van, bitter and unenthusiastic.

"Thanks for the ride to work, ma!" Dalton cheered.  Ricky sat next to him, and began playing on his phone.  Ashley sat next to him, to the right, and the twins sat in the two chairs in front, behind their parents.  "Alright kiddos,  I know you're all nervous about your first day of a new year at school, but you'll all be happy in the end when it gets you all the boost to anew when you're older." Thomas speeched to his children.  "Yeah daddy-o,  I'm ready to learn!" Alvin cheered.  "Hot damn, pa, you got them all yippety-yappety!" Dalton chuckled. Suddenly, the van stopped after making a popping noise.

"Awww man,  mom we're gonna be laaaate!" Alvin cried. "Oh my gosh,  what just happened to the van? We're not blocking traffic are we?" Ashley whined.  "Naw, it's the darn battery messing up again.  Shucks, we just got this van back from the shop. I'll go 'n take a look at what's wrong with this puppy. " Thomas sighed, and got out of the van to try and fix it.  "Hun, let me help." Beatrice said, to which Thomas replied "Honey, please let me work on this, I don't want you doing all this work, please just watch the kids." Thomas insisted, not wanting his wife to do unnecessary work. Hank and Alvin were just busy playing Minecraft on Beatrice's phone.

Suddenly, a car pulled up.  Three men got out,  all wearing business suits with ties "Greetings sir.  I couldn't help but notice you're in a bit of a situation.  Might I assist you?" The tallest one wearing a Fedora spoke up. "Naw, I think I got it.  I haven't found a single good repair shop in all of Charlotte NC, though." The Fedora man responsed "I see.  I have tools in my car that might help you with your situation, also, my name is Mr. Harris."  Thomas looked at him now "Alrighty, can I borrow some of your tools, fella?" while not trying to seem needy.  "Can one of your kids retrieve them from my car over there?  I do not feel like walking back and forth while I'm wearing this thick suit." said Mr. Harris. The man looked over at Hank playing Minecraft "Well hello there little man,  that looks like fun." Hank smiled and said "It's Minecraft, do you play it?" to which Mr. Harris responded with "No, no.  I'm always too busy to be playing video games. Besides, why do the things you can do right now virtually?"
