"The client has arrived, Doc. They are now inside the waiting room," my personal assistant informed me.

I am currently reading the notes from Mary's previous session. Mary's my fifth patient for today. She is a 14 year old girl and she undergoes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to recover from a mild depression. She's now in her 3rd week of counseling  and based on our previous sessions, she is getting better. Sana ay magtuloy-tuloy na.

"Thanks, Elle," I mumbled as I closed the note and placed it back to the drawer. I took a sip on my coffee and stood up from the swivel chair.

I caught her stares but she eventually cut it off and bowed her head. "Why?" I ask.

"Y-you look tired, Doc. You haven't taking some enough rest these passed few days. Nag..nag-aalala lang ho ako. Do you want me to reschedule this session, Doctora? I'll just tell them----" she said nervously, stain of concern is evident but I eventually cut her off.

My lips rose up. My job is indeed exhausting but I enjoy it though. I love helping other people. Sila ang pahinga ko. Besides, kanina pa sila naghihintay sa waiting room.

"I'm good, Elle. Don't worry about me. I'm fine with my work...but...thanks for the concern," I assured her.

She gave me an encouraging smile. "That's my Doc!"

I laughed. She's always been like that. Elle is such a good person. I'm glad I had the best assistant.

"Sige, Doc. Goodluck sa session. Balik na po ako sa desk ko," Napangiti na lang ako habang tinatanaw siyang naglalakad palabas ng aking opisina.

I checked my face through the mirror. Elle's right, I look tired and stress. My lips is kinda pale so I need to put a daring red matte lipstick on it. I plumped my lips and sprayed my favorite perfume. I also comb my messy hair using my finger and put some powder on my face.

I let out a sigh.

"Get in the gear and focus, Zoe," I reminded myself as I stormed out of my office and went straight downstairs to the waiting room.

Dalawang oras lang ang pahinga ko at ngayon ay sasabak ako muli sa panibagong session.

I've never been this jubilant upon seeing her again. Not that I am not when it comes to my other patients. Mary seems like my little baby girl. I'm just so happy that my patients are getting better.

I plastered a smile on my face as I went inside the room. Bumungad sa akin ang batang babaeng may malaking ngiti sa kaniyang labi, it's Mary. She was wearing her favorite purple dress given by her Mom before she passed away.

"Good to see you again, Mary," I gleefully said while looking at her in the eye. I'd never seen this beautiful smile of her for the past sessions, a sign that she is nearly recovering from her illness. Ngayon na lang ulit.

My smile suddenly faded when my gaze went to the man who's standing beside her. I startled for a moment but I managed to smile, still. An awkward smile to be exact.

What the heck! I can't believe it. Ella didn't told me about this. Bakit siya ang kasama ni Mary? Where's Mr. Lim?

Fuck. I'm doomed.

Wait, what's the big deal?

"Good afternoon, D-Doctora," He stuttered.

What's with the stuttering words huh? You really have no idea about this, do you? Oh. I get it. Likewise, then.

I mentally grinned. Nice to meet you again, Mr. Sinclaire.

"He had an urgent meeting as of the moment so he sent me here to accompany his daughter. By the way, I am Mary's godfather," He explained, pertaining to Mr. Lim, Mary's father.
