NIGHT HAD ONLY JUST NOW,
begun to shroud the earth in its alluring veil of darkness. I'd trot about the winding alleyway- alert and aware of my surroundings -but at the same time, I'm still deeply lost in thought.Rejecting keigo's offer to keep me safe was probably the worst thing I could do at a time like this, but I still didn't trust him.
It don't know if it's because I've been stuck as a fox for so long that my brain has somewhat adapted to this way of thinking, or I'm just losing it in general. But I've never encountered a kind human before, so I felt like they were all sort of evil.
At this point I'm questioning whether or not I really am human. The only thing that makes me different from other animals is the fact that I can talk. I'm still just as vulnerable as them, if not more-
I'm not strong, and I'm not really fast anymore thanks to my wounds. I'm partially blind. The only thing I have to thrive on are my senses.
I was startled by a ferocious growl. looking up, I'm met with a pair of bright red orbs.
My breaths hitch, whirling around- it's like they just multiply. Big red eyes, peering out demonically.
Wild dogs were padding my way, snarling; slobbering. I'd hunch down fearfully, my pupils dialate, and flicker around anxiously.
A pit-bull steps out of the heavy darkness, scowling down at me. He bared his fangs, circling around my frail form. I tried bolting through the gap in his legs, but was Immidiately halted by a pair of jaws lashing out agressively.
I was banking off of sheer instinct at this pont. Hunching down I shield my head with my paws. I was shaking so much my chattering teeth came like a rythmic hymn.
"I-I was only passing through I swear-!!"
'Yet here you are-'
'A Tresspasser, who reeks of bird fiecies-'
'What's with that anyway-?!'
Their booming voices were almost literally shattering my brain. My thoughts were drowned out, by their demonic barking.
"I-I don't know-!!"
A pair of jaws strike my tail. I squeak, kicking the damned thing in the face- that was my ultimate move. I just bolted down the street at high speed; the wind thrashing heavily against my snout; hot tears spill from my eyes colliding with the asphalt in beeds.
There was an empty pizza box, but it was too thin, hiding under there would just be stupid. Crawling under a car would be a death-trap, they'd surround me like sharks and attack me from multiple angles. I couldn't underestimate the fact that some of them could worm their way under there, despite being larger than me.
