This silence was just what I needed. No one yelling at me to get some sort of over-the-top special ordered drink or pervs hitting on me, or even pretending to listen to a drunks life story, it's especially annoying as fuck to send out the angry drunks and keep them out for causing trouble for those who just want to drown their troubles or even hang out...
I love it when the wasted ones get going, the bar is empty and the music is slow and somehow tranquil enough for me to almost let myself drift off to a deep slumber...

...almost...

I was startled when I heard a glass bottle drop and shatter...I cringe slightly as I heard an older man curse at himself as he went to get up... Subconsciously, I scrunched my face as I stood up and walked over to the corner of the bar area to grab the broom and dustpan and calmly made my way towards the man in the lounge area.
"Sir...it's closing time..."

Doing my best to keep my composure and somewhat quickly swept up what I could of the broken Irish whiskey bottle.
I felt a pair of eyes burning at my back and a low and rather annoyed grunt escape his lips. After sweeping what I could I looked up at the older man and simply return the glare and gestured to the exit door.

"I wasn't asking the first time, I was telling you to leave. It's closing time." With that, I turn to the bar on my way to clean up and only look up to hear the door slam shut with the man cursing once again under his breath.

Ain't life just peachy, can't I just have a single break, that's all I ask for... Maybe I should take a night off.

"Who knew the newbie would be so mean."
"Especially to a poor old man~"

I snap my neck to a pouting Aurora and Addy, identical twins with shoulder-length dirty blond hair and sea-green eyes. Both wear fishnet leggings with matching neon color tube tops. Beautiful they are but look like your stereotypical stuck-up bitches, but in reality are the sweetest things in the world but just naturally flirty.

I shrugged at the comment while grabbing the glasses on the bar. "Well the bastard wouldn't leave and I wanna go home and sleep but I still gotta study!" I spoke in a whiny voice as I started to clean, polish, and put the alcohol glasses away.

"Holy crap! That's right your a student, you poor thing... I and Aurora will finish up for you! Consider it a treat hun!" "You sure? It's a mess here, and didn't your guy's shift end a while ago? I can just clean up"
"Y/n, if you wanna pay us back just buy us a coffee, it would be a bummer for you to risk flunking sweetie." Aurora gave me a motherly smile and a little pat on my back as Addy gently pushes me to the door.
Once outside and instinctively began walking home I turn around to see both of the blondes waving me out of the small bar.

I had only lived a couple of blocks from the bar so no need to drive unless I was too lazy to walk. Though today I had just walked to work therefore I had to suck it off and walk home.
But this was more of an unsettling walk home. I felt a shiver go down my spine as I kept feeling someone stare or follow me...
Looking around I felt that maybe I was just getting nervous and just tired and delusional both in need of the coffee offer and some sleep. But this damn feeling hasn't gonna away. I felt myself start to speed up as I make my way around the corners of the dark, gloomy, and even more terrifying now that it was nighttime with who knows what kind of people are out and about.
As I continued the thoughts and discussions about how I felt the back of my neck hairs raise and my heart skipped a beat as I felt someone or something behind me, but as I spun around with my house and work keys at hand ready to stab but to your surprise, no one.
Not a soul around.

"...God you're losing it is..."
Was all I could mutter as I started to have that cold sweat as I continued on my way on the lookout wary of people walking past me and around me, as I make my way to the trashy but homely low-income apartment and quickly but also quietly made my way inside but with the feeling only worsening.
