Escape The Dead

Chapter 3- Separated

Jillian drove the car down the town of Barru as the wheels squeak, smashing against any zombies in the way. Everyone in the back seat was jumping up and down on their seats not having the greatest time of their lives.

"This is the last time I let you drive!"

"Shut up, Gina!" Jillian snapped.

"Keep your eyes on the rode or we'll crash!" yelled Joe.

When Jillian averted her eyes back on the rode, she drove into the light post and crashed. Jillian's face was in an air bag while everyone else was thrown off the back seat.

"Nice job," grumbled Jack.

Jillian just rolled her eyes and grunted. When a zombie banged on the window, Jillian screamed and leaned as far away from the window as possible.

"Shut up! Or you're going to attracted more zombies," Gina yelled at Jillian.

"Uh, guys..." Jack said slowly.

"What is it now," Gina grunted.

Jack pointed to the viewing mirror. Gina looked at the mirror and saw something coming towards them from the far distance in the mirror. When it was close enough, Gina could tell that it was a huge truck driving at full speed, and the driver was a zombie. Everyone screamed.

"Quickly! Everyone get out!" Joe screamed.

Gina opened the door slamming it against a zombie and got out with Nicole, Joe and Jack following behind. Of course Jillian was too scared to come out with all the zombies around. The truck was getting closer, Gina whacked the zombie that was banging on the drive seat's door and pulled Jillian out of the car while she was clinging on to her purple backpack.

"Hit the deck!" Nicole yelled.

Jack pulled Joe and Nicole out of the road and Gina pulled Jillian the other way. The truck crashed into the same light post where the car was, causing both car and truck to explode. The explosion set the road ablaze. Gina got up noticing Nicole, Joe and Jack were missing. She looked to the other side of the fire, seeing them through the flames. 

' There's no way to get around this fire. Great, looks like I'm stuck with Jillian again,' Gina thought.

Jillian got up, dusting herself and swung her backpack on her back as zombies came through the fire and from behind. Gina knew they couldn't stay here, so she grabbed Jillian by the wrist and ran.

"Wait! What about Nicole and the others?!" Jillian said.

"They can take care of themselves, right now we need to run!" shouted the brunette.

Jillian looked behind at the huge fire and the zombies that were on fire, dying.

As for the other three, Nicole got up and helped Joe up. Jack was busting the flaming zombies in the head.

"We need to get out of here!" Jack reasoned.

Nicole looked around, "What about Jill and Gina?"

"Don't worry, they'll be fine. Jill's got Gina by her side," said Joe.

"And if Gina was in this situation, she would have ran to a safer area," said Jack.

Nicole nodded and noticed Joe has a black backpack on his back, "Is that Gina's backpack?" Nicole asked.

"Yeah, she forgot it, so I grabbed it for her. I didn't think we would get separated," Joe explained.

"Okay less talking more running," said Jack.
