Well this story began due to the pandemic which released on the world has caused unrelenting which caused mayhem around the world and back it raged on and on till it reached every country, every state and basically everywhere no nook and cranny of the world was spared at first it was rare but the numbers tripled and quadrupled faster than you could say "corona".
None of this really bothered Raj Jacob he was in truth delighted sure he would never mention it to anyone but college had gone in the drain sometimes the teacher even didn't bother coming to the supposedly efficient online studying this all soon came to bite him and boy it could barely be classified as a bite it was more him getting eaten half alive as all his life both literally and figuratively was out movies nightclubs and Marine Drive were his known locations his father being well according to several magazines the up and coming 'Ambani'
was well a busy man who barely slept a wink and he slogged his butt everyone knew of him and none were ignorant of his wealth everyone knew him in nearly every market he was a investor you see and whatever he touched turned into gold he was one of those 'sharks' like in Shark Tank but only difference was that he was better and when I say better I mean by far greater he could take a debt ridden company and come out swinging securing a piece for himself and well this collection of pieces all added up it was a tidy sum enough to last his family generations to come he was a self made man and he made it a point so that everyone knew it every golf game every week at least twice the story of his greatness was retold by his own mouth he had numerous admirers which was again flaunted from the horse's mouth.
Raj was at first happy about having meals with his father which before this pandemic was a annual appearance but soon realised that now he was expected to follow mannerism which meant
1) no phone on the table
2) sitting in the right posture
3) eating with the right etiquette
He had to follow these laws as if he didn't his dad didn't say anything he simply got up with dinner in hand back to his study to either whine about his losses or boast about his gains Raj knew his father was manipulative but from laughing like nothing was wrong to crying out a river as if everything was wrong and he was in ruin.
Raj was impressed by his dad but knew better than to ask for something directly he had to wait until the metal was hot and then strike for he knew if he could catch his dad offhand then his father rails have to fold and concede so once when his dad was in another long drawn settlement
As days went by Raj searched without a break working tirelessly after the third day or so he thought he left the chair he hadn't realised the passage of time passing and had just realised how stiff his body was as he cracked his knuckles and stretched his arms but none could miss the enormous grin on his face showing absolutely no sign of regret but rather of a certain smugness that he had bested his father that he was more than just okay far from it he wanted his father to acknowledge his defeat and if things had been normal you would see him screaming while sitting on the roof of his car shouting how he was right but then again this would never had happened if this whole lockdown didn't exist so basically it was a victory for co-existence.
He ran to his fathers study which had been strategically placed at the other side of the house, away from all the noise and the disturbance the study was made of oak and rosewood it was sturdy and well-built and yet looked royal he had a portrait of himself above his leather posh seat whose edges were plated gold and a large table on his side of the rectangular table was a safe where he had stored his will and many precious gems and hard cold cash next to that was another sort of table well technically not a table rather a folder for all important files he had a tiny cabinet which consisted of the hardest liquor money could buy the table to had its drawers consisting of his will , his passports and all of his unsavoury files that he kept on his clients his son and his competition all well kept and maintained most of the files had enough incriminating evidence for a person to go to jail for the rest of his life or worse he kept these handy for a rainy day
So well when he saw that his father had carelessly made it public information about his clients billables true it was far from public knowledge but it was accessible to a determined opponent now he felt sure that his father would see this and finally hold his son the valuable respect rather than content due to that one incident, one that changed his life and by changed I mean gave his life a full 180-degree turn he went to his father and without knocking entered the room believing he had the right to do so due to his recent discovery little did he know that this was a move as his father was done with Jim Reynolds and before dismissing him as a client he wanted to destroy him as he had set eyes on Hindustan Oil which was at least 5 times a bigger client but what he failed to hear was that his father was in a meeting with Jim and as the meeting was a e-meeting he didn't notice him it didn't help that his father had those super powerful headphones which captured every little detail so when Raj came in he basically blew the piper like a toot horn and Jim being a quick tempered man left his father who's eyes had become crimson he just pointed at the door to angry to even speak to his son not knowing what he might say.
