Eat. that. frog

(don't eat a frog)

The moment you wake up, oh and on that don't look at your phone and say I can sleep for a bit more no don't do that your brain has just given you the energy you need to get up and you just passed it by and now when you wake up next time you feel tired (we'll discuss energy in another chapter.)

So what is 'eat that frog' in the morning, it is essentially doing the most difficult task in the morning doing the most necessary thing in the morning because A it gets rid of the mental stress for the rest of day and you don't have to do much just start it because now you have a word and brain is focused on that word, so now that word turns into a sentence, then a paragraph and before you know you have a story. 

And guess what happens at the end, you feel ecstatic and why is that? because your brain is rewarding you with a dopamine hit and you sit there like holy moly I want more so next day you jump out of bed and starting eating that frog. 

The 'eat that frog' won't happen instantly but you'll soon notice changes in your morning routine, speaking of moring don't forget to do your morning ritual the thing you need to get the day going. 

Now the issue with writing and the 'eat that frog' method is that I don't know about you but every time I look at writing I think of every excuse in the book not to do it (the irony) and a course you once you get into it's easy but the process of getting into is so hard I don't know why. 

And why should you be 'eat that frog' is because you start looking for the dopamine hits and the things that were a waste of time start to gross you out and you're just like "WHERE THAT DOPAMINE AT" now I know this kind sounds like drug talk but hear me out. 

(disclaimer don't do drugs and this has a connection to what I'm talking about, just bear with me)

METH I mean actually METH is the hardest drug to get out of because meth gives you 200 times(estimate) the regular amount of dopamine and makes every other dopamine hit more impactful so if you know any meth addict you notice that their house is clean and that the most boring thing to you is the most interesting thing to them and that's because your brain rewards you with dopamine for every task you complete and cleaning the house and doing something like calculus are small but short hits of dopamine, and this is why meth is the hardest drug to get away from. 

They actually did a study on mice where there were two cages with their container of food, one had regular food and the other was meth, and guess what the mice preferred the meth over food so they died of starvation, but that what it does. 

So what does this have to do with today's motto, well it essentially the wholesome version of meth so, doing the frog method rewrites your brain to being addicted to doing the first and the most important and most necessary task of the day and same like a meth addict they want to do the first thing is do meth but for you my wholesome meth addicts (hahahahahah I can't stop laughing at that) you want to 'Eat. that. frog'. 


A/N I can't stress this enough don't do drugs, especially meth. But doing this frog method will help you to stop procrastination and start publishing those stories.
