Third Person POV
Forge, Dove, Angel, Alpha, and Star stared at the assassin who sat at the very end of the train, his back facing them.
"Do you think he can hear us?" Angel whispered faintly.
"No, I don't think so. He has headphones in." Alpha said in a normal voice.
Star shrugged. She was sure he could hear them but didn't care enough to say something. She had heard enough stories about him to know he would leave himself lacking the ability to hear.
"I wonder if he will ever show us his face. I would like to know who's behind that mask..." Forge said and trailed off with a look from Dove.
"I can sense heartbreak. He's been deeply in love before but I think the person died or something happened. All I know is that he doesn't love that person anymore." she said, staring at the assassin with a curious look in her eyes.
"If he wants to reveal himself to us then he will, we can't force him to do anything," Alpha said finally. He smiled when Star nodded in agreement.
They had removed their cloaks when they entered the train so their faces were revealed.
"Forge, can you sense weapons?" Alpha asked his friend.
Forge opened his mouth but with a look from his fellow soldiers, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His eyebrows went up and opened his eyes quickly.
"What is it, honey?" Dove asked, concerned.
"He has two daggers made of Chaos Silver, two swords made of Akryon iron, several chains, celestial bronze daggers, a bow made of bone, guns, and something else. I can't tell what it is. It has an enchantment on it."
The soldiers gaped and looked at the assassin in awe. "I wonder how he fits all of those weapons under his cloak..." Star muttered.
The five demigods jumped when the assassin glanced at them. "Just like Charles said. Enchantments." He ignored the surprised looks from them and focused on Star who just looked at him. He stood up, removed the headphones from his ears, and moved to sit in the front row with the rest of the soldiers.
"Why do you not look surprised?" he asked his once-dead friend. He wasn't offended that she wasn't surprised, he just wanted to know how she knew he could hear them talking through his music.
Star shrugged to him and her friends. "I've heard enough stories about you to know you wouldn't rob yourself of the ability to hear the world around you."
Omega glanced around and lowered his but kept his mask on his face, safe and tight.
The demigods stared at him. His hair was messy and silky-looking but it was the color that they were amazed by. It was black but there were white and grey streaks that strangely looked natural.
"It's because you were blessed by Chaos, isn't it?" Angel asked softly.
Omega licked his lips slowly. "How are the five of you not dead? I sense the lingering scent of death on all of you." He ignored the question asked by Nico's sister.
The soldiers sighed and started reciting their planned speech.
"I am the son of Hermes, the god of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry, sleep, language, thieves, and travel. I died killing myself to win the war on Earth. I killed myself and Kronos who was inhabiting my body at the time." Alpha said sadly.
"I am the daughter of the titan Atlas, the bearer of the sky and heavens. My father killed me while I was dying from poison saving my friends and Artemis, goddess of the moon." Star said.
"I am the daughter of Hades, the god of the underworld. I died saving my friend. I was crushed by Talos, the metal giant in the Junkyard of the Gods." Angel almost whispered. Her voice was laced with sadness.
Omega hated seeing her like this but he couldn't reveal his identity.
"I am the daughter of Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation," Dove said proudly. "I died in battle killing a monster. I saved my friends though and I was able to join my boyfriend, now husband." She glanced up at Forge's towering figure. "No regrets."
Forge smiled and glanced up at Assassin Andreas. "I died blowing up a ship to save my friend. I have no regrets as my wife said. I saved people and helped in the war. I'm glad I could contribute to the world in the end."
"Chaos deemed us important to the salvation of Earth. He said we would work well together since we are all from Earth. He didn't tell us your identity though. Just that your ogigin is Earth." Alpha said reassuringly as Omega tensed up.
"I know. Chaos does not know my identity." the assassin spoke quietly.
"How? He is the creator of the universe, how does he not know who you are?"
Dove asked indignantly."I don't know. He respects my privacy enough to not go digging into my past. Even if he did, he wouldn't like what he would find." Omega said darkly.
