Princess Marinette: Bouncing back

The invitation

I was abandoned by my friends, I thought they were my real friends and I could rely on them but sadly I was mistaken , they turned their backs on me when I needed them the most.

I cleared my head and got up and went downstairs, usually the place was filled with warmth and sunshine, laughter and joy and most importantly love.....but that was all gone after that horrible day when i lost everything.

As I reached downstairs I made myself a small Breakfast and began to bake and clean up the bakery , although my parents were gone I would still continue their business, it was their joy after me and I wanted to continue it as much as I can.

As I was done dusting and packing the shelf the bell rang as a symbol that that someone was entering I looked up and saw Tiki my assistant , she smiled brightly at me as I ran up to her in the midst of crying.

She quickly pulled me into a tight hug and we both cried into each other's arms, after what seems like forever we pulled apart .

"I missed you my little ladybug" she grinned and I giggled at the sweet nickname I had since childhood.

"I missed you too cookie...but what are you doing here I haven't seen you since that day?" I asked , she kept quiet and pulled me to the back of the bakery.

"I was sent to give you this letter by the guardian and he said it was urgent" she told me as she pulled out a red and black dotted envelope I looked at her with confusion as I took the letter.

As soon as I took it she kissed both my cheeks and ran out the door like she just saw a plaque.

I went to my room and put the letter in my diary box and went to continue with the rest of the day.

7 hours later....

It was now almost 5pm and I closed up the Bakery after the last customer, although it was a Saturday not much people were here.

I went upstairs to the apartment and took a bath then made dinner , I had nothing to do after that so I went to the the balcony connected to my room I sat there and watched the sunset I sighed as I watched my so called friends leaving the park, not to kill my mood I went inside and got my diary.

The letter Tikki gave me fell out of the box and I picked it up , I looked at it closely and it had the family seal....I went up to the balcony again and then sat on the chair to read the letter out loud but quite only for me to hear.

"To our dearest princess,

We hereby inform you that the time has come for China to see it's new queen.

After the accident your kingdom has been in distress mourning their lost leaders and to you my deepest condolences.

As you may know it is prohibited to rule alone as you must have a companion.We had arranged a meeting with the neighboring kingdom and they had accepted the offer.

In Six months on your 21st birthday you are to be we'd to the prince of England and then crowned as our queen.

In the coming weeks Prince Adrien of England will come to live with you in Paris in order to bond before the wedding.

I have hope in you ladybug , I know you shall do what's right and restore our kingdom  to it's former glory....

I sat there flabbergasted as i let go of the letter and ran to my parent's room , I opened the door and slowly crept inside as I reached the bed I collapsed on it and released my tears , it was a hard thing to do in my situation.

I am getting married and I will be crowned queen on my 21st birthday and it was only six months away I don't think I was ready, I had to marry a total stranger, if he went to school with me they would convince him I was a bad person and he will then treat me like trash after our wedding.

I soon cried myself to sleep today with no motivation to wake up....
