Becoming a Brownstone

Chapter One

The morning sun crept  through the windows of the bedroom I shared with harry. I have never been in Greece before, it feels weird waking up in a country you're not familiar with. If not for the fact that I have to be on this business trip with Harry I would have just stayed in Newyork.

My hands automatically searched for Harry, but only to find out that I was all alone on the massive bed.

"Harry?!" I called out for him  but he didn't respond.

We had plans for today, he promised we'd tour round Greece today. I'm really pissed right now...How could he have left without informing me? Maybe I'm overreacting.

I threw the cover off  my body and sat on the bed. I froze when I spotted an elegant paper on the nightstand .

Curious at what could be written  in it I decided to read its contents:

Good morning darling,
      I know you're pissed off right now because I wasn't by your side when you woke up....I'm really sorry my love.
I have a little surprise for you, walk to the terrace and wait for my instructions.
           -Harry

I could feel myself smiling once I finished reading the letter. Harry is planning  some sort of surprise for me.

I did what he had instructed me to do, I went to the terrace and to my surprise it was arranged beautifully with a variety of greek food on the table.

"Good morning ma'am" A middle-aged maid cheerfully greeted me.

"Good morning" I repeated the greeting as I slid on the chair to start eating my breakfast.

"Mr Brownstone wants you to have this ma'am" The maid said as she handed me the same elegant paper I found on the nightstand.

"Thank you" I smile as I read:

My love,
      I'm glad that you've decided to humour me with my surprise. Now enjoy a good Greek meal and wait for my further instructions.

I smiled at his little game as I placed the piece of paper on the table and started to indulge myself on the bountiful Greek breakfast on my table.

What could harry be planning? Since when did he think of this surprise? Where is he? Those were the few questions that ran through my mind while eating my breakfast. All I want to do now is to finish eating and see what Harry planned out for me.

I finished my Breakfast in a haste. I looked around for a maid that would come to me and give me the next clue, but all I could see is an empty place. I would have called out for one of the maids but I'm not familiar with their names. I walked away from the terrace and went inside the villa, still no servants approached me.

So, what will I do next?
How will I know the next clue for Harry's Surprise?

Deciding to wait for it rather than ask. I went back to the bedroom I shared with Harry. I was surprised to see a knee-length pink chiffon dress and a wide brimmed hat to match on the bed with the same elegant paper beside them.

I ran towards the bed and grabbed the elegant paper and read:

     Such a beautiful day only to be wasted by staying indoor,my love. Why not enjoy what Greece has to offer? Wear that pretty dress and hat and enjoy your day. The chauffeur is waiting outside.......
