After a few minutes of searching, Haily found her brother patiently waiting for her outside,a blue scarf tightly wound around his neck. His periwinkle eyes glinted in the sunlight as he looked for her. Smiling, she waved as she ran towards him and ruffled his already disheveled hair, turning it into a catastrophic mess. Struggling out of her grip, he rushed to fix his hair, only to make it look much worse than to begin with. He looked into her eyes and groaned knowing by the humor on her face that his hair looked like the equivalent of a mop. She laughed as he whined and teased as he fumed until both their faces were bright red. Haily's from laughing and Parker's from embarrassment.

After a few jokes and laughs a dull sage green car started to pull into the driveway of the police station. It's colour stood out like a sore thumb but what was even weirder was the woman who stepped outside of it. The lady had a lean frame, her amber hair spilling out of its tie and her emerald eyes gleaming behind her black framed glasses. Her oddly yellow suit was round tight around her body along to match the aloof sunflower hat on her head. As she walked toward them, a nauseous florescent perfume wafted around her ,sending a new wave of headaches to Haileys head. Haileys interest had begun to be sparked 'who was this? ' and was she coming towards them? The lady studied them from head to toe, twirling around them as if they were antiques to be enjoyed and nothing more.

At last she opened her mouth saying what seemed to be a very peculiar sentence. "You know...this could be beautiful" she muttered quietly. "Yes..with a little touch here and there.."

Haily jerked away from her, stumbling backwards. The woman looked at her curiously before the answer dawned upon her face and she threw her head back, barking out a laugh.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean any offence!" she said, politely holding out her hand "I'm Addison, I'm going to be your new caretaker at the Angel Guardian Home, don't worry, we'll take good care of you!"Addison added reassuringly.

Haily's jaw slackened. This was their new caretaker at the orphanage? She had never been more scared for her and her brothers safety in her life. And that included the fire! She looked her up and down, eyeing her as Addison had to them and then and there decided that she would never trust this woman. She didn't know whether it was the how her lips had curled into a curt smile or evil glint in her eyes that had made her feel so uneasy, but as the chill made its way to her back she could practically see the gears in Addison's head working, planning. And it probably-no definitely wasn't anything good.
