The fire dragons are the most threatening of all the dragons when well played. They have perhaps the nastiest bite and can find hidden creatures with their dragon vision. They take the longest to grow.
The fire dragon egg!
Even as babies, Fire dragons are fierce little stinkers. People tend to play them as fearless and either keepers of justice, defenders, or 'tanks' while in battle. Like all other dragons they have many colors that you get at random.
At any age a fire dragon player can press 'v' to use their special ability to see ai in yellow or players in white. They cannot see invisible plasmas and there is also, currently, a glitch where the dragon vision does not work at all.
When Pookie was around, fire dragons were vital to have in a group as they could see an approaching sand worm with ease and warn others. Now they are used to help in battles with their powerful bites or to defend against attacks.
At 0.5 a fire dragon is able to use their fire ability. The grey bar in the middle of the stats HUD (see above) will start to fill with yellow. They will then be able to hold right click and then press or hold left click to breathe flames.
Spam clicking can result in something known as the fire glitch, where the fire sounds continue to be heard until the player relogs.
While the fire of a fire dragon does a great deal of damage, it is best for the fire dragons to use their bite while in combat. Especially against plasmas.
If being chased down while flying, a fire dragon can stop ('put on the breaks') and potentially get a bite in on a pursuing dragon or two.
Most PK groups will go after FDs (fire dragons) first due to the amount of damage they can do. Many PK groups are mainly made up of plasmas.
A fire dragon can use dives while flying as a good escape tactic.
Again, use your bites more than flames in a fight.
