Just like that, she left. I scrambled from the heap I was in. Everyone had gone, except Ross.

*****

He tries to take my hand to help me up. I look away, my eyes blubbing, not looking at him; ashamed. I snatch my hand away.

*****

I tried to help, I did. That was not my fault.

*****

"Look, Laura", Ross started. He sighed. "Please talk to me Laura", he finished. "Ok I'll talk, stay away from me and never come near me again. Don't talk, look or think about me.", I finished. "No", he said sternly. "W-what?", I croaked. "I said. No.", fixed eyes on me. "You can't make me stop anything Laura", he was up close now. I looked down, I guess I can't control him, he's only human.

*****

"Can I look at your wrists please?", he asked. Best not. Seriously. I shook my head vigarously. I wiped my soon tears. "I'm fine, don't worry".

*****
Laura does know that I'm just gonna ignore whatever she says when she says "I'm fine". I grab her wrists, she flinches; shocked. I lift up her sleeve, not happy in what I see.

Dryed blood. Scars. Bruises. Her new purple bruises, appearing.

*****
He now knew everything, I'm such an idiot.

*****

"Who did this?", I asked her. No reply. "My old boyfriend, Elliott-and me", she choked. She left almost instantly, picking up her school books. Making me tense, angry and worried; I was upset. I was shocked inside as my stomach turned, I was worried about Laura, my Laura.

*****
I ran as fast as I could, all the way to Stormies.
