Chapter 23: The Tiny Todoroki

Your POV

Shoto Todoroki wouldn't stop trying to get a grip on his son. Kaito Todoroki was born into the world on July 12th at 12:53 pm. For the first day, Shoto was the only one who was allowed to join you when you were giving birth to your young son. Once Todoroki's eyes laid upon his son... he fell in love.

But he never did argue with you about Kaito.

Kaito's name was chosen by Todoroki himself. "I just thought of it as fitting." He claims when he was finally allowed to hold his son. "How's that? Kaito Todoroki? What do you think, (y/n)?"

You smiled softly, leaning against a pillow as you saw Todoroki just holding Kaito. "I love it, Shoto. Either way... he's our little son. Whatever name he has... I will love him... Kaito... it sounds beautiful..."

Todoroki took a seat next to you, gently cradling your son. "Say... do you think that he's ready to me his grandparents?"

"Yeah... I think it's time."

Endeavor, came in as Enji, and Rei both walked in with Fuyumi and Natsuo. Todoroki's older siblings had to contain themselves from awing at their nephew. Rei had covered her mouth, slowly walking over to Todoroki. She looked at the baby, and then looking at you. She had removed her hand from her mouth, smiling gently.

"Congratulations, (y/n), Shoto. This one's a cutie... what's the name?"

Todoroki and you both exchanged a look, and Todoroki was the one who spoke out-loud about the name. "I suggested the name for Kaito, and (y/n) agreed with it. So... his name is Kaito."

Natsuo chuckled a bit, bringing in his own gift for you and his younger brother. "Kaito, huh? Wow, Shoto."

Todoroki leaned back towards you, nuzzling you a bit. "Well... he wouldn't have been Kaito if (y/n) didn't agree with it. I'm just glad that she agreed to having our first-born son as Kaito." Todoroki had look back at you, smiling softly. 

Your cheeks began to blush as Enji walked over to Todoroki. He smiled just a tad bit. "Can I see him?"

Todoroki gave a heavy sigh, but he reluctantly handed your son over to Enji. Enji took the small, frail child into his hands, practically stunned to be holding a child. Maybe when he was younger, he wasn't this stunned to be holding his own children. But now... since he was older and now holding his first grandchild, he was completely taken aback.

Fuyumi walked over, handing you this small stuffed white tiger. She smiled softly, nearly chuckling a bit. "I went shopping the other day, and I thought I should've gotten my nephew his very first present. Hopefully this stuffed animal would be his favorite when he grows up."

You smiled softly, taking the tiger in graciously. "Thanks, but you didn't have to."

Fuyumi chuckled a bit, taking a seat next to you. "I'm just glad that you two are starting a family. You guys are really perfect with each other, huh?"

A slight blush appeared on your face when she talked about you and Todoroki being perfect. Of course, you couldn't stop thinking about that one time when both of your paths had crossed. That time when Todoroki had almost drowned and nearly lost his life due to training... but now he was alive and well- being a father.

Seconds had passed until Kaito began to cry. Enji was smart enough to hand back the child to its mother. He smiled softly, looking at you and Todoroki approvingly. "You both would be good parents... so take care of Kaito."

"Like I would ever do the opposite of what a true parent is." Todoroki said as he slowly rolled his eyes.
