Chapter 12

Dingding's P.O.V.

I let out a gentle groan as I was zipped into my dress. It's one of those tight corsets dresses that can literally squeeze the life out of you, and that's what's happening to me right now. I held onto the railing as I began to take some deep breaths.

"Ding, are you sure you're gonna be fine? You're going to be singing for half an hour up there, you can't even breathe properly by standing here and doing nothing." Liam asked as I nodded, "I know my body, I can do this." I said as Ruwei came into the room.

I quickly shoved aside all my troubles of breathing, "Ding, I went to the bakery across the street and they had a lot of your favorites, so I bought you a lot of each kind." He said as he opened the bag and pulled out a bunch of pastries and drinks.

"Ruwei, that's really nice of you, I'll eat them after the concert. I have to go on stage in ten minutes." I said as he nodded and handed some to my crew members. I headed to get ready with Liam and moments later, I went on stage.

Throughout the concert, I truly felt as if I was going to lose my breath any second, but I persevered on. After I got backstage, I immediately fell to the ground, causing a bunch of people to run to me. Ruwei grabbed onto my back to support me back up as I looked at Rose.

"She can't breathe, quick, get her out of that corset!" She yelled as she helped me into the nearest room and shooed all the men away from me. She quickly grabbed a pair of scissors and cut open my corset before draping a towel over my now naked upper half.

"Dingding, you really don't have to always do this to yourself," Rose said as my breathing finally stabilized. "I know, but I like this kind of stuff." I laughed a little as Ruwei came in and Rose left. I tightened my grip around the towel as I now realized I was practically naked.

He looked at me and sighed, "If I had known earlier I wouldn't have let you go on stage in that. Are you better though now?" He asked as I nodded and stood up, "I'll be right back, I'm going to put on something." I said as I grabbed my bag and headed to the bathroom.

"You know, I liked the view earlier." He joked once I came out in a hoodie and leggings. "Of course you did." I chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me from behind and gave my neck a gentle kiss.

"Try some of the pastries I got for you." He said as I nodded. He kept a hand on my waist as he used the other to hand me a green tea mini cake. He held it in front of my mouth. "Ruwei, you don't have to feed me, I'm not five." I laughed as I took the cake from him.

"I know you're not, but I like feeding you." He whispered as I took a bite, "Mhmm, this is delicious!" I said happily as I continued eating. He just continued holding onto me. "Ding, I just talked to Liam about your next plans. After the filming is done, I'm going to be heading to Beijing to film another series, and Liam told me that you will be attending Amazing Dance as a judge for about a month in Hunan." He said.

I stopped eating and turned my head around to look at him, "Those cities are pretty far away from each other." I said sadly as he nodded, "But don't worry, Ding, the flight is less than two hours, so during my breaks or days off, I'll fly to you." He said.

"Ruwei, I know how tiring and exhausting filming is, you don't have to do this, you're gonna be too tired." I said, "Trust me when my goal is to get to you, nothing will stand in my way. Even though we won't be in the same place, but Hunan to Beijing isn't too far away, so I promise that we'll make it work." He said as I nodded.

Ruwei took his arms off of me when there was a small knock on the door, "Ding, are you done? We have to get going, you still have to finish recording the songs." Liam asked as I groaned a little and pressed my face against Ruwei's chest.
