1.       My mom said that when I was borne my dad was running up and down maybe because he’s too ecstatic for having me?

2.       I didn’t stop drinking milk up until now, I stop using feeding bottles when I was like 6 years old, my mom was trying to stop me by putting hot sauce in the baby bottle’s “Tsupon” but I she told me that I’m too smart for that for I will wash it and then use it again. (What a bright kid!)

3.       I’d cry and go into tantrums whenever my mom will leave for work being so cute she can’t resist me that’s why she’ll phone in sick or will go on leave just to stay with me but sometimes my antics won’t work she eventually hired a nanny to look after me.

4.       I’m not that close to my grandmother for she’s living in the province and whenever she’s staying for a visit she’s so prim and proper and would just stay in her room and watch TV or talk to my mom and dad. I love my lola, God bless her soul, she’s so funny she’ll tell us stories about my dad and even make fun of him while we’re eating dinner.

5.       I have a grandmother on my Mother’s side and she’s spoiling me a lot, that’s why I love staying in her place and she’s into making Filipino delicacies like puto, suman and the likes. We always have those for breakfast and merienda with “sariwang gatas” (YUM!)

6.       My Mom taught me how to read and write before I went to school, it’s funny that she’ll make cut outs of ABAKADA and whenever she asks me to spell words out she’ll hand me the A-BA-KA-DA cut outs for me to use.

7.       When I was in kindergarten one of the tips that my mom taught me is using my fingers to count and when adding number that the end result is more than 10, I should remove my shoes, my socks and start counting my fingers and my toes. (I find it funny now hahaha! I totally did this when I was in Kindergarten)

8.       Since I’m away from my parents they will visit me during weekends mostly Saturdays and Sundays and they do it religiously, we’ll go to parks, carnivals, churches and Malls and do the family things that traditional Filipino family does. Honestly I do have my fair share of walking home from the church with a red balloon tied in my right wrist.

9.       During weekends I’ll sit in between my parents and show them the papers I did during the week at school, brimming with pride I’ll show them the stars and perfect scores that I got.

10.   Then here comes the hard part, they have to go back to Manila for tomorrow is the start of their work week. I’d cry and wail so hard wishing that they’d take me with them and ditch school. I remember one time they’d let me play outside and then when I’m back they’re gone but sometimes I’d patrol and watch the door so that they can’t leave without being noticed. I remember they’d bought me a new set of crayons as a bribe for me to stop crying so that they can leave.

11.   It was December that I officially became a Kindergarten dropout, finally my parents give in and they took me with them back to Manila. I ditch school (YEHEY! And who does that?, MEEEE!)

12.   Later on my Mom told me that I could have been the THIRD Honor in Kindergarten and that it is disheartening and that the teacher told her that she’s willing to accept me again if I wish to go back to school. Upon hearing this I just smiled and hug my Mom maybe because I’d rather stay with them than being in school besides I knew most of the things that we’re studying back them for my Mom is my first teacher and she’s good at it (hey! Scratch that, she’s GREAT at doing it!)
