Chapter 23

Jaden eventually leaves with Anthony and I'm left alone sitting on the couch.
"Avani" I call out to her. Avani walk out of her room with her phone in her hand. "What's up?" She asks me. "I have to talk to you about Jaden" I say in a low voice. She keep her phone on the night stand and sits beside me. "What's wrong?" She asks me. I tell her everything that happened with Harry and Jaden.

"I mean I know we aren't dating but we're talking right? So what am I supposed to do?" I ask. "Bebe I think you should give him some space for a few days. Sometimes giving someone space is the best you can do" she says and I nod.

Two days later

I didn't receive any text or calls from Jaden from two days. I did receive texts from Harry asking me out again but I didn't respond. I just hung out with Avani and Addison,who came over a few time. She told us that Jaden has not spoken to any one of them since the past 2 days. He just comes out eats and goes back in. I feel so upset making him upset but I have to give him space.

Right now it's 3pm and I'm in my living room eating potato chips and watching the office. I'm kinda guilty because I have exercised today but you have my period to blame for that. Anthony and Avani walk out of the Vani's room.

"Hey Jess" Anthony greets me. I smile at him "Hi Anthony" I say. "So I gotta go babe." He says and kisses Avani on the forehead and I roll my eyes. I know that they are cute but couples are annoying me nowadays. Anthony reaches to open the door but stops. "Oh I forgot to tell y'all, we are having a party today and we want both of you to come" he says looking at me. "I'm not coming" say and toss a potato chip in my mouth. "Jess come on you haven't stepped out of the house in 2 days. How long are you gonna torture yourself?" Avani says sitting beside me. "No Avani, I'm not going. First of all I'm on my period, secondly Jaden aka the person I'm giving space is going to be there" I whine. Avani starts to say something but I cut her off "I'm not going." She sighs and walks out with Anthony.

Anthony's POV

I drove to the sway thinking about Jess and Jaden both of them are my best friend and both of them are torturing themselves. I have to talk to Jaden. I reach the sawy house and walk into Jaden's room. I see him laying on the bed doing nothing.

"Jaden what is wrong with you" I say. "Go away Anthony." He says burring his head in his pillow. "Dude you know how sad Jess is?" I ask him. "You saw her?" He almost jumped looking at me. "Yeah I did she's not even coming to the party today." I shout at him. "She isn't?" He says. I shake my head no. "You have to go talk to her man. She's so upset." I tell him. "There is nothing to talk about" he says looking down. I sit beside him and pull him into a hug. "I like her so much ant. So much that it's scary." He cries. "Jaden I know you're scared to let her in but this is Jess we're talking about. I know you've had bad relationships but don't let that push her away because she's giving of some insecurity of yours. Give her a chance buddy. Who knows maybe she'll surprise you." I tell him. He looks at me with desperate eyes. "Go, get her" I tell him with a smile and he runs out of the door. I smile. Suddenly he comes back in and says "thank ant" with a smile and a tear in his cheek. "Get her my man" I say and smile back at him.
