//Olivia//

When I was in fifth grade I had this teacher who gave us all bottles of random things like chasing cream toothpaste etc. she told us to squeeze everything all out and we were all like, "hell ya"

As soon as we were all done dispensing everything she told us to put it all back in.

There we stood.

Twenty..thirty minutes trying to squeeze everything back in.

We were so confused on what to do then she said.

"In the moment that you were consumed with what you were doing, you didn't realize the mess that you were making. Then after it was so easy and quickly it poured out, you realize it's impossible to put back in. Remember this for the rest of your lives when it comes to words that come out of your mouth."

We were all so confused being only ten we didn't realize what it mean.

But somehow to this day I think of it constantly.

....

"Olivia."

I looked up from the window and smiled to my best friend. My only best friend. Abi.

"Are you okay?" She asked me her brows furrowed and I nodded my head. "Lying to me doesn't answer the question."

It's true people who swear a lot are the worst at lying.

"I'm fine. Can I have my tea please?"

She sighed and rolled her eyes handing me my caramels tea.

"Are you thinking of participating in the new play or working backstage?" She sipped her tea and waited for my response.

"I don't know." I played with the mug and sighed. "Do you think the weather will let up?"

"Liv." Her voice was stern now. She frequently got upset when she knew I was hiding something. "What's wrong."

"I don't know."

"Liv."

"Abi." I smiled and rolled my eyes at her. "Kennedy yelled at me today." I confessed.

"How many times do I have to tell you to just ignore them?"

"I know but-"

"No Liv you don't let them take over you. If you stoop down to their level you re no better than them."

"I know. I know." I rolled my eyes and gave her a nudge. "Their only bullying me cause I'm above them."

"Good, next time tell me if their bothering you." She got up grabbing her bag. "I'm always here you know."

"I love you Abi."

"Don't worry I love me too."
