Through the Years

Chapter 1

Tell us a story daddy!" Freddie said to Louis pulling his teddy bear up to his face.

"Not right now Freddie it's getting late." 

"Please daddy, please tell us a story." Ella Louis oldest child said. 

"Okay fine, this is a story about One Direction."

"What's One Direction Daddy?" Ella asked.

"One Direction was a popular boyband where a young boy ended up meeting his four best friends on this TV show and ended up becoming  a worldwide sensation. That boy was called Louis Tomlinson."

Ella and Freddie looked at each other and the gasped, this was a story about their dad and this excited them so much. 

Louis sat back in the armchair and thought back to there very day it began, the day he auditioned for One Direction.

Louis stood backstage nervously waiting for his turn, he didn't want to be here but his girlfriend Eleanor made him and although he didn't want this he wanted to get through for his family and his girlfriend, the person before him had just gotten 3 No's and this scared him he didn't want to be the same. But he had to shake this feeling of nervousness off and walked on the stage with confidence.

"Hello." Louis said with a smile and looking at the judges.

"What's your name?" Louis asked. 

"My name is Louis Tomlinson.'

"and what are you going to sing for us today."

"Hey there Delilah by the Plain White Tee's."

"Okay, you may start when you're ready."

Louis took in a deep breath and started to sing he forgot about everything and as soon as he started to sing he realised that he may actually want this and everything changed the moment he got three yeses from the judges. 

But everything was to change the moment Louis arrived into bootcamp, it was a lot harder than he thought and he didn't think he would have what it takes and he was right.  As he stood on that stage waiting for his name to be called but it never did. Louis was not successful and all he could do was feel shame or guilt. As he waited patiently for an interview he looked around and saw boys and girls crying because they hadn't gotten through.

"harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson would you please follow me." Louis looked at the four boys and some girls who's names were called but that didn't matter all that mattered was his name was called.

He stood there nervously on the stage with four other boys and four girls.

"hello, thank you so much for coming back and judging from some of your faces this is really hard." Nicole said. "We've thought long and hard about it and we've thought of each of you as individuals and we just know that you're too talented to let go of.  We think it would be a great idea to have two separate groups."  Nicole continued.

"We've decided to put you both through to judges houses." Simon said.

Louis was ecstatic, despite him not wanting this before this meant the world to him and although being in a band wasn't ideal Louis knew that the judges had given him this chance for a reason and he wasn't going to let them down.

And that is exactly what the five of them did, they managed to get their way to the live shows of the X factor and wow Simon at judges houses. Five boys who wanted nothing but to sing were going to be world wide sensations and that meant everything to Louis.

Louis looked at his two children and smiled, if you had told young Louis all those years ago that he was going to be a world wide sensation it would have sounded absolutely crazy. And although he was no longer in contact with his best friends and he ruined everything, he wouldn't change it for the world because those years were the best years of his life.

He walked into his bedroom and sat on the bed smiling away thinking about the memories he shared with Harry, Niall, Liam and Zayn and how those four boys changed his life how they shared so many memories together.

He watched as his partner walked through the door of the bedroom and pulled Louis into a hug, they didn't say anything and they didn't need to because they knew how hard this moment was to share those memories with his children was a lot to take in and especially of how it ended that would be a hard story to tell.
