"Hello, Darrel." The man said. I remember it perfectly, it was real, it was real, it was real, Is what I kept telling myself. The man asked if this is truly what I wanted to do and asked me how I got here, and I responded by telling him, "I hope you have time because it's been a long and hard journey sir." I take you back 5 months ago, just a week before I left. I had dreamed of being a musician since I was 6 and once you dream about something you usually hold onto that dream, even with unsupportive parents. I was a C and D average kind of guy and I tried but school never clicked for me. I was about 8 when my parents took me to a quire at my sisters high school and she always was the attention at my house, I always felt like I was living in her shadow everyday and my parents never showed signs of denying that. Anyway my sister's quire was always in the local paper and was always on something in my town, such as posters and signs and that never changed for years and years. That quire was amazing though and I thought about joining one but my parents practically said I wasn't good enough as my sister and said no. A few months after my 12 birthday I looked into joining a quire and was told they were only for A and B students, so I figured I would try to get better grades and for a while I did and then that day oh that goddamn day, it was our finals in history and I completely forgot about it until I was told 10 minutes before it. My god I was horrified and I had every reason to be and after a week I got my report card, dammit I told myself I was done for and a few hours later I was right.
