Izumi and Douma just sat there quietly. Douma was sighing, and Izumi assumed it was how bad she was at his etiquette lessons.

She felt slightly guilty. Oh was she wrong.

“Izumi, I have nothing much to teach you. You’ve already known everything, this lesson was practically a waste of your time.” Douma spoke up.

Douma said, faking a tear. “Oh how His Lordship would be happy upon hearing this.”

Izumi stared at him and scoffed, he sure is a dramatic person, I bet My Lord wouldn’t even give me a single praise.

Before Izumi could do anything, Douma said, “Since we still have some time, why don’t I bring you out hunting?”

Izumi had sparkles in her eyes upon hearing that.

I bet hunting a few humans for myself will make My Lord proud! Izumi grinned from ear to ear, her head filling up with thoughts of Muzan praising her.

Izumi was a person who really enjoys praise from others.

She would feel happy whenever she could do something to make someone feel proud of her.

Izumi was overjoyed, wanting to go hunt as soon as possible.

She walked up to Douma and tugged at his sleeve, looking up at him.

Izumi asked, as cute and polite as she could, “Please teach me how to hunt Douma-san!”

Douma smiled even wider, looking down at her.

“So you’re willing to do anything?” Izumi nodded without hesitation.

Douma held his fan, covering his face with it. “Then you’ll have to fulfil one condition of mine.” Izumi asked, “And that is?”

A few moments later, Izumi was panting, hand on her knees as she caught her breath.

It wasn’t supposed to go like this…! She looked up at Douma, wiping the sweat off her chin. Izumi was getting fired up, growing with excitement.

Just about 10 minutes earlier, Douma said to Izumi.

“If you’re able to scratch, cut or touch me, I’ll bring you out to hunt.” He said so while smirking.

That easy? Izumi thought. “So I just have to touch you and you’ll bring me out hunting?” Douma nodded.

Izumi thought for a while, after which she took off her haori.

She assumed that it’d get in her way when she goes after Douma. Izumi placed it in a corner, looking at Douma.

“So, when do we start?” “Now.” Douma said, vanishing into thin air.

He’s fast! Izumi was struck with awe.

She grinned from ear to ear. Izumi could finally put those skills she’s learned to the test.

Breath of the Void, 7th style: Trace. Izumi had her own breath as well, a breath she came up with herself.

It wasn't just a breath that helps enhance her demon killing ability but also a breath that can be used in a few different circumstances.

Breath of the Void, 7th style: Trace. One must stab their sword at the spot where the target disappeared. Then a path of black will lead them to their target. It stays as long as the slayer has not found their target.

Just as Izumi stabbed her sword into the ground, a black path formed.

She looked as the path went out of the room, up different platforms and stairs. Izumi followed the path, swiftly jumping on platforms and skipping stairs.

Shortly after, she arrived in a room, where she saw Douma with his back turned at her.

He seemed… occupied. Izumi took the chance and ran up to him, which Douma swiftly dodged again.

“Damn it! Almost!” Izumi huffed, taking out her sword. She went ahead and tried cutting him, but failed miserably.

She retreated away from him to calm herself.

“Give up yet?” Douma said, smiling.

Izumi laughed, “Who? Because I definitely am not gonna give up until I cut you.”

Izumi took in a deep breath.

Breath of the Void, 2nd style: Silent Kill. Izumi appeared behind Douma in a split second, almost cutting him before Douma reflected the attack with his fan.

Breath of the Void, 2nd style: Silent Kill. The user will conceal their presence entirely and their speed and movement time will increase. The sound they make will also be greatly decreased, making the target confused. Silent Kill makes the kill a swift and quiet one, so as to be unnoticed by anyone.

“Woah, that was fast! I wonder if you can go beyond your limits,” Douma said.

Izumi scoffed, “Of course I can! Don’t look down on me.” Izumi said, staring at him.

Breath of the Void, modified 2nd style: Silent Cut...

Izumi knew Douma couldn’t sense her presence the previous time, and only managed to deflect her attack, so this move should be the best.

That was 10 minutes before, and now, Izumi was catching her breath to use her modified move.

Just as she did, Izumi used her dagger she had kept at her side to cut him. Douma was surprised at her sudden attack, which was even quicker than the last and didn’t get to react in time.

Breath of the Void, modified 2nd style: Silent Cut. It is a modified move from Silent Kill. It is not effective for the intention of killing, but for a slight cut, this modified move is ideal. Silent Cut is much faster, and quiet, no sound at all. Silent Cut can’t deal much damage but it is much quicker compared to Silent Kill.

Izumi jumped around in joy when she finally did it.

“Finally! I cut you Douma-san. Now you have to bring me out hunting.”

Douma sighed as he shook his head, pointing at the door.

“The one doing that will be Akaza, sadly, he arrived just in time."

Izumi turned around to see a young muscular man with green-tinged skin and short, bright pink hair.

He had numerous blue lines on his torso, his face and arms. He was wearing a short pink-purple sleeveless haori that cut off at his waist, exposing his chest. He paired it with a pair of baggy white knee-length pants.

Izumi covered her eyes with her hands as her face flushed bright red.

“Akaza-san, can’t you put on a shirt?!”

Akaza raised a brow, “Why should I when we are gonna go out hunting? It’s gonna be warm outside.”
