After I got out of the shower, I dried off, put on some clothes, and brushed my hair. My knee was still hurting, but it wasn't as bad as before. Walking slowly down the stairs, I entered my living room to find Bokuto watching a volleyball game on my tv. As soon as he saw me, he asked where I kept my first aid kit.
"Go sit down on a chair. I'll get the kit." He told me. I sat on one of my kitchen stools and looked at my flooded garden outside. He appeared in my line of sight again and kneeled down with the kit in his hands.
"Now that I think about it, I never asked what class you are in." I stated while looking at him rummage through the first aid kit.
"I'm in class 3-1." He said quickly. "This might sting a little." He opened up an alcohol wipe and brought it to my knee to clean it. I gasped at the coolness of the wipe against my knee. Then I felt the stinging. I tried cleaning my knee in the shower, but clearly I didn't clean it enough.
After he cleaned my knee, he put some Neosporin on my knee and spread it around with his finger.
"You know this isn't necessary. You don't have to do this." I told him, looking out the window again.
"Yeah, but I would have felt bad later if I did not help you." He responded and took out a big, square band aid. After he took off the plastic wrapping, he stuck it to my knee. He stood back up after closing the kit and I got off the stool.
"Thank you" I said and bowed at him.
"Oh. No problem. You're welcome." He looked away with a pink tint to his cheeks. I stood back up and looked towards the door, then back at him. "I guess I should get going now." He stated.
"Alright. Thank you again." I smiled we walked towards the door. I opened the door and saw all the crows gathered on the ground, blocking the doorway. All their heads snapped up to look at me and a few of them tried darting inside, but were stopped by the others. "Hey Bokuto, stay here. Don't scare them or let them in." I walked back into the house and went into the bathroom to grab towels. As I went back to the front door, I saw Bokuto holding 2 of the crows in his hands. One crow was sitting and glaring at the other, smaller crow, who was bouncing excitedly.
"This little guy is my favorite." He said while holding the smaller crow with an orange head up in the air. I ignored him and laid one towel on the ground next to the door. I moved out of the way and waved my hand at all the little crows to come in. They were intelligent enough to follow, and when they were all inside and on the towel, I closed the door and grabbed another towel.
"Alright, little guys, I'm going to dry you off." I spoke to them, sitting on the ground next to the towel while the crow with a small blond tuft on top of its head sprinted towards me. I picked it up and started drying it off with the towel in my hands. Bokuto sat down next to me and dried off "his favorite" crow.
As I was drying another crow off, I looked at them all. They seemed to have their own groups. There seemed to be a really regal crow protecting and sitting next to the smallest crow, who had a blonde head. Three crows were sitting in a group by themselves. The crow with the blonde tuff was wrestling with a crow with barely any hair on top of its head. Bokuto's favorite soon joined them, only to be stopped by 2 other crows, one had a gray head and the other was the biggest crow of the group. A crow with a green head and another with a blond head were distancing themselves from the others. The crow Bokuto was drying off was the mean looking one who was glaring at his favorite. The crow in my hands had a lot of hair on its head, it was getting in the way of it's eyes.
I got up after setting down the crow and walked to the bathroom. Opening a drawer, I took out a small, plastic rubber band and went back to the crows. I picked up the crow I just had and gathered up it's hair and put it into a tiny bun.
