Usagi POV
I could hear surprised gasps from the others, when I made my sudden appearance. Even Toramaru-kun and the most passive mist hashira, Tokito Muichiro-kun cannot hide their surprised look. It was pretty much understandable though, since they might be never expect me to ever come to the meeting.
It brought me some nostalgic memories, when the first time I became a hashira. How long it had been happened? I do not remember. I always felt like it was just yesterday.
Back then, I never missed the meeting, not even once, but when my condition gotten worse, I stopped attending and more focusing on gathering information about the demons.
I would do the same at today's meeting as well. I planned to skip it and prefer to scouting around while waiting for Toramaru-kun. However...
He told me to come. He, personally, had asked me to join today's meeting. As for the reason, he refused to tell me. He said I better go to the meeting and find the answer my self. And since I do not have a heart to reject him, I said yes. That was why I presence today.
"I do apologize for being late to join you, Oyakata-sama."
"It's okay. I completely understand that you are busy doing your job as a fine swordsmen, Usagi. However, I cannot let you go unpunished."
"I understand, Oyakata-sama. Please, give me a punishment as you deem fit. Well then, without any further ado, let me - us - as the hashiras, humbly greet you and eagerly pray for much happiness upon you."
"Thank you, Usagi." he slowly sat down. "You are all presumably know why we have gathered here."
We're all nodded, although no one has spoken.
"As we can see, there is a soldier present in the meeting today by the name of Kamado Tanjirou who has brought a demon. I'm sorry he has surprised you all. But - " he closed his pale lavender eyes for a second, before opening it again and still spoke in his soothing voice. "I have given my approval for Tanjirou and Nezuko, so I want everyone here to accept them."
That was when I heard an uproar stirred among the Hashiras. They had divided into two sides. One was entirely oppose this, while the other is neutral.
"Ahhh...even though Oyakata-sama wishes us to do so, I am reluctant to give consent. Namu Amida Butsu."
"I also flamboyantly oppose this. I can never accept a demon hunter who brings demons along."
"I will abide with all your accordance, Oyakata-sama~"
"Either way's fine for me...I'll just forget right away..."
"I respect you from deep within, but I can't understand your thinking! I completely oppose this!"
"We're all the demons hunter who annihilate all demons. I wish to punish both Kamado and Tomioka." the wind hashira sneered.
Without a doubt, of course, the opposition side has more people.
I wasn't surprised seeing many hashiras disagree with this, since just like Shinazugawa-san said, demon hunters is supposed to hunt demons, not to protect them. However, something bugging on my mind. It was Shinazugawa-san's statement to punish both the boy and Tomioka-san.
I could only assume that Tomioka Giyuu, the Water Hashira, somehow involved with this 'protection' of the boy and his demon companion. His actions was rather questionable, because after all, he was like other hashiras, despise demons. So, why he protect them?
My question soon had been answered when Oyakata-sama told his daughter, Hinaki, to took out and read a letter which they received from a former water hashira, Urokodaki Sakonji. The letter goes like this:
Please allow Tanjiro to be accompanied by his sister, a demon.
Nezuko has a tenacious spirit and she retains some human reasoning. Even in a starved state, she never devoured humans, and she has stayed that way for more than two years. Although the situation seems somewhat difficult to believe, it is an indisputable truth.
If by any chance Nezuko ever assault a human, Kamado Tanjirou, as well as Urokodaki Sakonji and Tomioka Giyuu will atone by committed seppuku.
This is intriguing. A demon who never eats a human, huh?
Sounds like a laughable jokes, but since the former hashira wrote that, I do not think this is for a laughing material. Furthermore, remembering his nature, he wouldn't be able to pull a funny story like that.
Is this why he told me to come? To show that another good demon had showed up?
I mentally sighed. I thought something marvelous had occurred but, maybe I just held my hope too high. I should give him a few scolds later.
Well, no matter. I'll leave when this trial is done. Then, I could plan my next mission with Toramaru-kun, from where we begin collecting information, what else we must brought and so forth.
I was busy contemplating my planned and ignored the ongoing bicker from wind hashira and flame hashira who is still not going to accept this circumstances. But, when I felt like someone had been staring at me, I lifted up my face and saw Oyakata-sama's lavender eyes landed on me.
"Besides - " he spoke with his usual charmingly sincere smile on his face.
However, I felt something different in his smile. Something that only I could understand. And my feeling were proven right when he spoke his very next words.
"Tanjirou has come into contact with Kibutsuji."

Well, guys...as you can see I changed some points in my story. I changed, because I want it sounds more sensible with my plot. I hope I didn't changed it too drastically ._.
Plus, I decided to use the term of 'Hashira' instead of 'Pillars'..I think it sounds better than 'Pillars' (Beside, Pillars made me thinking about something else ^^")
Anyway, I wrote this chapter at May, 10th 2020...and you know what? Kimetsu no Yaiba manga has released chapter 204 TwT and it's nearly end, guys TwT
