Katherine was just a regular 16 year old girl. She had a boyfriend, a large group of friends but she never really wanted to do anything with them. She would just read books. She hated listening to other people say such nonsense. Like parallel universes, talking animals, and just never ending wonder. Everyone called it a wonderland. Katherine thought everyone was just being childish and immature.
Until she went there.
After school had ended Katherine went on her daily walk though the woods to sit by a weeping cherry and do her homework with her boyfriend. Her parents were doctors at a nearby hospital, so they worked late. Katherine didn't care. She loved her alone time, wandering through the forest reading, writing, or talking with her boyfriend. Which that was every so often because he would always get himself in trouble either prancing teachers by gluing their pencils, chalk, and just anything he could find that could be important or he would be falling asleep in class. She finally sits by the beautiful tree when she gets a text message from her boyfriend "Hey it's Josh, I can't come over to your little hiding place, I got detention." Katherine instantly furious slamming her phone to the ground then standing up and stomping on it multiple times then grabbing her cross-over-shoulder bag and started pacing back in forth. Until she saw a little white rabbit.
