After that intense training with aloha. I'm now at the pool. I'm lying on a beach chair with bamboo as aloha is frolicking or whatever. A few inklings murmur out some stuff about him.
"Yo! What do you think about that pink inkling? Aloha was it? That's s4 dude!"
A deep voice says and I move my sunglasses down and take a peek. The one who just spoke was a red inkling with the pigtails hairstyle. Her pigtails are pulled to the back and are now more like a single ponytail. Her chocolate brown skin is beautifully tanned and she looks cute!
"Id smash it."
A bratty voice speaks as an inkling girl with gold tentacles pulls her sunglasses down. She is wearing too much makeup, but minus that 97% of her face could be taken off with a wet wipe, she's not bad looking.
She puts her sunglasses atop her head and fixes her ruffled cropped pink shirt and white miniskirt, then puts her white flip flops on and walks towards aloha.
"Uh oh, girl is after your man!"
Bamboo says with a smirk. The tomboyish inkling catches wind of our conversation and jumps in.
"He's yours? Oh jeez sorry, Ann, aka flip flops, was just heading over to claim hum! I'm I knew he was yours I would've stopped her!!"
"He's not actually my man. Bamboo here was just making a joke! Haha."
"Oh, well anyways, I might was well introduce myself!! Hello I'm pigtails!"
"I'm bamboo and that's (y/n)!"
"Hi!"
I say and wave. I glance back over at aloha. He shakes his head and I can't read lips but he said 'I'm not interested' or something like that. The girl storms back over here and stops in front of me.
"You there!"
I pull my sunglasses down. Showing I'm nobody's BITCH.
"May I help you?"
"You're that octoling girlfriend right?!"
She waves her finger at me. I glance over at aloha who looks embarrassed. But is hiding it very well.
"Wa-? No I'm not anyone girl!"
"Well apparently your that dude alohas! He said he was taken by an octoling!"
I feel my face heating up. But it was just an excuse not to smash this brat! It means nothing!! I play along with alohas lie.
"Oh. Aloha! Haha yeah. I'm his girlfriend, why?"
I say playing it cool as cool can be.
"UGHHHHH. YOURE THE WORST!"
"Why darling. The mirrors are in the bathroom."
I say slyly. Putting on my best 'bitch' act. It seems to be working.
"STUPID OCTOLING MY GOD WHY CANT YOU JUST DIE?"
She snarls. Bamboo goes wide eyed as she sees me take off my sunglasses and put them on my head. Then cross my legs and stand up.
"What was that? Darling?"
I tilt my head.
"Stupid. Octoling. Brat."
She pulls out her inkphone.
"And you're dressed like a total slut! My god girl how badly do you want us to look at your boobs?"
I snap a little. But play it cool.
"I don't. It was a cute bikini."
"Yeah. That's what they all say, then when they have some random inklings oversized di-"
I grab her inkphone and throw it into the pool. Hey. It's not a crime.
"!- did you just... THAT WAS THE NEWEST INKPHONE X PLUS!! DO YOU KNKW HOW EXPENSIVE THAT WAS?!"
"Almost as expensive as all that plastic surgery you have?"
Bamboo raises her hand. I give her a high five.
"Burn."
She says and adjusts her bamboo hat. The annoying inkling girl grabs her stuff and storms away. Pigtails is left with us.
"Wow. Solid burn. You're not really a brat are you?"
"No. I'm not. I'm just really good at acting. At school I always had to act like brat and stuff. To show I couldn't be bossed around. I'm already abused by my dad-"
I cover my mouth. Then shake my head.
"B-but then I came here!! A few days go and that's all gone! Forget I said anything k?"
Aloha walks over and smiles.
"Do you played along I'm guessing?"
"Oh yeah."
Bamboo does that 'check-wrist-and-pretend-to-be-late-for-something-urgent' move and pulls pigtails away from us as she leaves. All her master plan to set us up.
"Oh uh. Well she's gone. Maybe do you wanna grab lunch with me..?"
Aloha says. I smile and he pulls me up. Because I lied back down after whipping her inkphone into the pool. Witch now some young squiddo with water wings somehow fished out of the pool.

I have my shorts on, but left my bathing suit top on because that's what all the inklings seem to be doing now. My phone buzzes.
Bamboo🎋: how is operation I-must-set-(y/n)-and-aloha-up going? Is my master plan working??
(Y/n)🐙: on its going swimmingly (pun intended).
Bamboo🎋: stupid pun. Anyways what's happening??
(Y/n)🐙: thank you for the encouragement bamboo ;-; anyways we are at the weird lunch place here. Where the squit are you?
Bamboo🎋: me and Pigtails here are chilling in the hot tub.

Bamboo🎋: k it's me again. Anyways you know we all ship you and Aloha right?

Bamboo🎋: not joking girl! We all do. Me. Snorkel, straw, Octoglasses, we may have leaked it to a few others and now my team and team blue ship you and him. Also so does mask and army. I'm not so sure about skully tho.
(Y/n)🐙: awe you call him skully. Cute. Anyways who is team blue?! And are you sure they all ship us? That's completely insane I don't believe you.
Bamboo🎋: well you better! I'll introduce you to everyone else some other time k? And yes. They all do.
(Y/n)🐙: I gtg. Aloha is using the move 'Talk' on me and it's super affective.
Bamboo🎋: okay. If I don't see you guys hooking up in the girls bathroom in 7 minutes I'm going to be really disappointed.
(Y/n)🐙: BAMBOO!
Bamboo🎋: okay okay!! Sorry I'm leaving now!!
I shove my inkphone back into my pocket and turn back to aloha.
"Sorry. Bamboo is being weird."
"Where is she anyways?"
"She told me the hot tub. But I'm not 100% sure haha."
"Haha🎶."
That cute singsongy giggle fills my heart and it explodes with cuteness.
"Eek! That was adorable!!"

There it is again. More quiet this time.

Our food arrived, apparently we ordered. And we eat in comfortable silence.
