~Y/N's POV~

My name is (Y/n) and I'm (Y/A) years old. I currently live alone because my parents are out of town on a trip, maybe if they had been home, my life wouldn't be so messed up.

Let me start at the beginning.

I had decided to go on a walk through the woods one night. There was a little path I liked to walk, it was very hard to spot the entrance so I knew there wasn't much of a risk going out that late, As I was walking along the path, I heard a low groan coming from up the path.

My heart instantly stopped then restarted at a faster pace, I thought it was going to explode out of my chest. Hesitantly I spoke up, My voice shaking as if it could shatter at any given moment.

"H-Hello?.."I spoke softly, only to gain another groan in response, this time, however, it sounded like someone was in pain.

Thinking someone may be hurt up ahead, I quickened my pace and was greeted with a horrible sight.

There was a body lying in the grass just a little ways away from me, I froze in fear for a moment before running to it and collapsing to my knees beside it to make sure whoever they were weren't dead.

"Please be okay, please.." I said as I turned the body over onto its back. It was a boy. I couldn't see his face due to it already being covered in bloody bandages. His body however was clearly covered in a lot of cuts and bruises. Quickly grabbing my phone after seeing the sight, I dialed 911 and they were there within a few minutes.

The paramedic asked if I had wanted to ride with him and of course, I said yes. I wanted to make sure the boy would be okay so I climbed into the back of the ambulance with him.

We shortly arrived at the hospital and without missing a beat, they rushed him into the urgent care unit.  Hours later, the doctor came out with a relieved look on his face.

"He's a bit drowsy from the medicine but he's awake and asking for the girl who saved him" I smiled at the doctor's words, relaxing slightly. I then thanked the doctor and went into the directed room, shutting the door behind me.

"Hello.." I said softly, not knowing how else to start the conversation.

The boy turned towards me after hearing my voice. His face was wrapped in new clean bandages, so I still couldn't see his face but I could see his eyes through the spaces in the bandages. He had dark memorizing blue eyes.

'I wonder what the rest of his face looks like..' I thought to myself, glancing at him in curiosity.  He was wearing a hospital gown, any part of his body that was visible, like his arms, also seemed to be covered in bandages. I was curious as to why he seemed to be covered head to toe in bandages but was worried I'd offend him if I had asked. I could see his hair though. He had jet black fluffy hair that fell gently on his face.

"Hi.. You must be the girl that saved me.." He said. His voice was deep and kind of horse, it sounded like it may be painful for him to speak, I felt my heart wrench in pain.

Awkwardly I look away and blushed slightly. "Well... I wouldn't directly say that.."

He chuckled lightly then coughed.

"Unless you're planning to kill me now, I'm positive you saved my life." He joked.

I looked away awkwardly, smiling slightly to myself. "I'm not a killer. For all I know, you could be one though." After the words left my lips, an awkward tension filled the pit for a split second until he laughed.

"If I'm a killer, I'm a horrible one. I just got my ass handed to me. Or do you forget finding me beaten and bloody in the woods?" He laughed.

'Apparently, we're already joking about it..' I thought to myself.

"Well, I'm just happy to see you seem to be alright. Speaking of which though... May I ask what happened? It was a shock to find you like that. I'm sure you've already talked to the officers about it but.." I trailed off, not wanting to make him feel uncomfortable.

He seemed to be deep in thought for a moment before answering.

"Actually, I can't remember the attack. The doctors think I may have amnesia from an injury I got to the head. I'm sorry I can't tell you much." The boy said softly, avoiding my gaze. I felt bad for him, I couldn't imagine the trauma he must've gone through.

I was lost in thought when I suddenly got pulled back hearing my name.

"Anyway, thank you Y/n. If it wasn't for you, I would've been left for dead. You really did save my life." I looked back at him quizzically.

"How do you know my name?... I never told you." I started to get this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach and I took a step back away from him. He must've noticed the panic I was feeling because he quickly spoke up.

"O-One of the doctors told me! He said that I'm lucky a beautiful girl such as you found me when you did. When I asked your name, he told me. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you!"

'That makes sense actually.. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.' I thought, quickly relaxing.

"Since you know my name, It's only fair I get to know yours." I laughed, trying to relieve the growing tension.

"It's Conner."

"I see.. Well, when can you go home, Conner? Is there anyone that can come get you?" I asked, not wanting to completely abandon him.

"I live with my Aunt Marie, but she won't be able to come to get me.. Sadly she's been feeling a bit choked up the last few days. If it's not too much trouble.. Would you be able to give me a drive tomorrow? If it's too out of your way, I can figure something else out! You've already been such a help I don't want to inconvenience you further."

I weighed my options for a moment. I didn't want to be alone with a boy I just met in a car, but my heart broke at the thought of him having no one there for him. Besides, It was just one car ride I thought, then I'd never have to see him again.

"Sure, I can give you a ride. I'll be back for you then, Just get some rest okay?" I smiled at him, trying to be as nice as I could.

He nodded back and began to get comfy in his bed, I waved goodbye before heading out the door.

~Conner's POV~

I watched Y/n's back as she left my room, she was even more beautiful up close. Being so close to her, and getting to finally meet her, made hurting myself in those woods well worth it. As I was trying to enjoy my plan working perfectly, my bliss was ruined by the words of a disgusting male running his mouth outside my room.

"Did you see the girl that brought in the boy in room 707? What was her name again? Y/n? That dude looks far too young to be with her. I ought to ask her out next time she's in." Seems like a doctor needs to be taught a lesson. Let's see what I can teach him about human anatomy.

"Only I can have Y/n.." I mumbled getting out of bed.
