I can't belive it. Caleb. My brother betrayed me again. And I thought he changed. He is told he'll be staying in the same room as us. There are two beds.
"Beatrice-" Caleb starts.
"It's Tris! And how could you Caleb?! I thought you changed! I thought you cared about me! I thought you regreted what you did! I forgave you! Obviously, that was a mistake!" I yell at him.
"I'm sorry." He says quietly.
"No you're not! If you were truley sorry you wouldn't have done this! It looks like I'm the last Prior now! Mother and Father would have been so upset at you if they knew you did this!" I am getting so angry now but I calm myself. "There is only one person left in the world who still loves me, Caleb. My only family. And thats not you." I say calmly now.
"And who would that be, then Tris"He says. I don't say anything. I just turn to Tobias who is sitting next to me and kiss him. Passionately we kiss and it's the best thing in the world right now.
"Um... Beatrice?!" Caleb asks. I'm angry again. I pull away.
"It's Tris for god sake!"I'm yelling again.
"Why are you kissing him?!" he asks, seemingly shocked at the fact that I kissed Tobias.
"I kissed him because you asked me who it was that actually loves me! After you betrayed me THE FIRST TIME, I told him I had no family left, he told me he'd be my family."
"Well I don't like him." Caleb may have been Erudite but he's not very smart.
"I'm right here you know!" Tobias says.
"I know." Caleb replies
"YOU DON'T GET A SAY IN WHO I LOVE YOU IDIOT!! When you put my life in danger, he saved me!! When I put my life in danger for you, he saved me!! You really are the worst brother ever, Caleb, and a don't give a damn about what you think. I love him and there is nothing you can do about it!!"
"Look Caleb, I will do anything to protect Tris, even when she doesn't need me to! Tris knows things about me I wouldn't dare telling anyone else! I'll be here for her no matter what and given that I could knock you out with one punch, I'm not scared of what you think about that!" Tobias yells. I smile because he's supporting me and helping me win the argument with my brother. No, not my brother, not anymore. Tobias turns to me, now ignoring Caleb. "I love you." I say.
"How do you know that you love him Beatrice? Hmm?" Caleb asks me. My smile fades.
"IT'S TRIS! And you just know love when you feel it, okay? But you wouldn't know anything about love would you?" I say sternly.
"Look, Tris, I can explain-" He starts.
"No, you can't. I mean, you could talk but I just won't listen" I smile faintly because I can tell Tobias is smirking. "You were SO lucky when I forgave you the first time Caleb, but now, I'm done forgiving. I'm done trusting you."
"Tris, your friend Uriah, is alive. In fact, lots of your friends that died at the hands of the Erudite are alive. Jeanine faked their deaths. She saved them to use them as bate to lure you back to the compound. I can help you break out of here, break them out too." Caleb explains to me.
"Why should I believe you?"
"Tris, I think mum and dad are alive."
