I don't really know how to start this off. I mean, I do, but it may seem strange. As of now, I'm in the lab reviewing some test results. We are currently working on a project in which human DNA is crossed into a planet. We think that it might be a step up for humanity. If plants can live and grow without killing anything, but simply taking nutrients from the soil they live in and the sun, maybe we can alter them to have human features. The important parts anyway, while keeping their plant features too. They could learn about our cultures and teach us some things about them that scientists could never figure out in centuries.
I know, I know it sounds crazy. We've been trying for over a year now. They all turned out deformed or rotting. But, today was different, We injected the DNA and the Genes lined up just right. Now, we have a walking, talking, thinking Mushroom plant. She told us her name is Mun. She's very shy and a bit skiddish. I don't blame her though. I'd be scared too if I woke up in a strange place that looks like an asylum. We have started on some other plants that seem to be doing well and we think these ones will work too.
Well, I suppose I've documented enough.
