Here is the second of the three ponds where players can randomly spawn in as eggs.
Pond 2 (aka p2)
Like P1, Pond 2 has 3 player spawn locations, marked with yellow a 'x'. There are two ponds, one larger and deeper, and the other shallower and rocky. It is in the shallow pond that leeches spawn. There tends to be 4-6 small leeches and 2 giants.
The spawn directly above the leech pond is very dangerous. It is not uncommon for a freshly hatched dragon to be immediately attacked by leeches. If you get a p2 spawn, it is best to book it for the dunes as soon as possible to avoid being attacked.
This is the spawn in question:
Thanks to the trees and multiple ponds it is not uncommon for players to mistake p2 for a p3 spawn point. There are a few key differences, but as a teeny tiny baby, it can be hard to tell sometimes.
The other spawns are usually safe from leeches, but it is still best to keep away from the shallower pond. One of the spawns is by the deeper pond, so you should be safe unless someone drags leeches over there. ('Dragging' a.i. is when a player deliberately gets a.i. to follow them to a certain location.)
Just like with p1, there is an 'old food' and an 'alt food' area. Old food is a large patch of rocks to the right of where most dragons hang out. There are a lot of hiding places there, so it is a good spot to go if trying to hide, ambush, or avoid others.
The old food area is pretty far away from the ponds. It may be a challenge for a hatchling to make it back and forth, but it can be done. The rocks there should not 'eat' you like the ones at p1 do.
I am not sure exactly where alt food is at p2, so unfortunately I cannot give you directions for that.
