On The Other Side Of The Line

By Tulsa Eclise

On The Other Side Of The Line

He's standing there.

Rebellion and adventure stand beside him.

Beckoning to me.

So many reasons to say no,

But more to say yes.

On The Other Side Of The Line,

I have another life.

I am Superwoman,

I am the Ice Queen.

Even a shadow,

If I wanted.

The rules,

well, there are none.

Live by your own code,

You are your only defender.

But that's what I want.

I don't need protection.

I want the sun on my cheeks,

The wind at my back

Always looking over my shoulder,

At what could be there.

There are always eyes,

You will always be seen.

Be very careful,

But ready to fight.

Not everything is allowed,

But all is encouraged.

Not everything is legal,

But does it matter, really?

On The Other Side Of The Line,

That's what I see.

One Step.

One Second.

One Breath.

I closed my eyes.

There's a knot in my stomach.

A voice in my head.

One Decision.

One Chance.

My eyes have opened,

On The Other Side Of The Line.
