Every day of our lives something is going on in the world that revolves around our everyday lives. On the news, you hear about what happened locally or globally. Who did this who did that? Well, what I'm saying is the news is important and boring at the same time. Like for example killing someone It's like you hear the same bull crap every day of the week. See I'm just 16 going on 17 I've never really committed a crime except stealing or being tardy for class. What I'm about to tell you might sound crazy but in the end, it can have a toll on all of us. It all started like this...

It was a normal day of school the week before spring break. I was in my 6th-period class and let me tell you, my mythology teacher, Mrs.Tripeer don't care what we do. If it's playing on our phone or eating in class she's fine with it. It's like she's a child herself. Sometimes she can be a bit on edge like if a student is not doing what there supposed to she'll put them out of the room. There were hardly any students in class because you know people do what they want to do. I was sitting at my desk with my phone in my hand looking at Inuyasha like usual. My friend Katherine was drawing in her sketchpad. While having my headphones on I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked and saw Katherine trying to get my attention. In her hand, she held her sketchpad trying to show me her drawing. "It looks amazing as usual," I said while not really caring. "Thanks, It took me 4 hours to complete," she said while smiling.

Let's just say I like Catherine as a friend but not a best friend. I mean she's nice but at times she can be annoying as hell!! Like if I'm in my cozy corner by myself she'll come over and be like"Jazmine want me to eat with you"?. It's not like I dislike her but I have things I want to do by myself sometimes. With just 3 minutes left the bell ringed to go to the next class. I don't have a locker so I struggled my way through the halls of students of all sizes. Once I get there I sit in my desk next to Morgan Seabolt. In front of her, you have the school's fashion princess Lily Parham. She's in the same grade as me but is way prettier. Every day she walks to class like she's on the runway of America's next top model. "Do you think I should die my hair pink?" she said while sounding dumb as ever. She wasn't asking me but to Morgan. The whole time during class all we did was do a worksheet on the skeletal system. After School, I got on the bus to go home. While feeling lonely as ever I began to listen to Motivation by Normani. It was about 4:30 I got home because the bus broke down. I went into the kitchen to grab a Dasani water. The rest of the evening I lay in my pj's while sleeping.

I woke up to the sound of people yelling. I got out of my bed and made my bed up. I walked upstairs to see that the TV was on. I looked at my mother as she looks worried. On TV in bold letters, it said Breaking News Corona Virus Pandemic. "What are we supposed to do now if there shutting down everything, she said while speaking to my Dad." At the look of everybody's face, I was confused. I really don't pay attention to the news that much as I should. While still staring at the TV The phone began to ring. I picked up the phone to hear a woman's voice. I handed the phone to my mom. She put it on speakerphone. A voice began to speak "Until further notice, Shelby County Schools are to remain closed". After that message, my life changed forever.

It has been about two weeks since then and because of the coronavirus, all I and my brother do is sit at home and do our work online. We mainly do the same things every day. We'll still go to the grocery store but that's about it. When I say it's boring it is freacking BORING!! Every day of the week it would be the same thing on CNN talking about how the death rate is rising in different states and countries. Then President Trump would be on there giving a speech or to but other than that it has all been the same. Every day I wonder if we will ever return to our normal lives. I realize as I get up to go anywhere we have to stay 6 feet part away and wear masks and gloves for protection.

People's lives have been affected by this such as people not having jobs or how people are going to pay their bills and take care of there children. I want you all to know that even though we are going through this pandemic we must stay strong. I will be praying for people and there loved ones and that this pandemic may end. And that we can return to our normal lives. Even though we are quarantined there is so much more for us to do than just sit around and get fat all day. So I encourage anybody who is reading this to pray for your loved ones and do something that doesn't require going outside!
