The girl gave a small grin as she talked with the spirit who she had came upon, the edges of her lips curling so perfectly as it reflected her naturally cheerful self.

The male spirit watched her move around in awe, captivated by the way she let her thoughts come out, each word carrying a different meaning.
It wasn't everyday you met someone who could light up the darkness you've been living in.

Her eyes darted back towards him, giving off her signature smile with a small wave.
"I hope we can talk again soon"
And with that she left the spirit at a loss of words, without realizing it he wasn't paying attention at all, at most he was enjoying every detail of her unique gestures and the way her features would change with every emotion and look she would give away.

"Soon is too much"

The next day arrived, Hanako only then gazing out his window as he kept himself deep in thought before hearing shuffling behind him, a certain someone had come into the bathroom, her natural smile now on her lips as she came face to face with the spirit, "I was sure you wouldn't be here" She started the conversation, making sure to keep everything entertaining as she made every second with him worth it.

"You're a very nice person, Y/N-San" Hanako blurted out, adverting his gaze as he brought his knees to his chest, meanwhile the girl looked at him. her eyes widen from the sudden remark that had come out of his lips, a small blush tinting her cheeks.

"I only ever act this way with you though, how can you know I'm a good person?" She asked, unsure of what would come or if sounded weird, her too, adverting her gaze to the side yet keeping a short distance between the two,
"I might not know you for long, but-!" The spirit stopped talking as she tried to organize the thoughts that ran through his head in those mere moments, "I feel like I've known you for so long" Is all he could manage to say, nothing too specific but enough to make the female smile.
Even if it was a small smile, those words would never really go unnoticed.

"Thank you."

The girl held in her breath her eyes dulling down as she directed her gaze downwards, noticing the height she found herself at.
She couldn't think straight as tears ran down her cheeks, a small line forming on her lips as she tried to hold back the words she's been nerving to say,
"You don't deserve to die"

The girl stayed silent, her eyes never wavering from the view she placed in front of herself. The voice called out her name, trying to catch her attention.
He wanted to see that smile again.
One more time.

"Hanako, have you ever been happy?" The girl talked, not daring to move from her position as she spoke, her words felt different. It felt as if he was talking to someone else almost entirely.
"Would you ever abandon me?"
The girl kept on asking, now looking at him as tears pricked the corners of her eyes, her face growing swollen as she tried to swallow down her remorsements.
"I- I can't make promises" The boy muttered, entranced by the look she was giving away, her tears began running down her cheeks, a distraught expression pulling onto it the more she thought.

To think she stood before death.

The girl came back from her flashback as two figures approached her, the chatter between them growing louder as they found her. A small laugh escaped the female spirit's lips as she glossed over her hurt.

She couldn't remember.
The memory became distant as she was brought back into reality, leaving her with open wounds and an empty mind.

"Y/N-Dono!" The blond male smiled, almost dragging along a frightened Yashiro behind him, "Yashiro-Senpai has been scared of you lately! Tell her she's just overreacting" The boy explained, motioning to the girl who kept her distance from the spirit.

Another small giggle escaped her lips as she waved at her, "YooHoo~" She called out, teasing her as the human attempted to stray away.

Maybe, just maybe, it would be okay.
