Soundtrack: The World Is Ahead
Hux awoke to the sound of the constant downpour of rain on the roof, setting up he looked at his brother. "Anything happen while I was asleep?" he asked half groggy.
Kylo shook his head. "It was quite after we caught the spy, thief, whatever he was."
"Good I guess we should go check on our burglar to make sure she's fine," Hux said as he stood and walked to the door.
"Good idea," Kylo nodded and followed his brother.
They walked though the hall to Rey's door and Hux knocked on the frame.
Rey came to the door. "Good morning?" she said it more as a question than a greeting.
Hux opened his mouth to say something then quickly closed it trying to think of something to say back to her questioning greeting. "And to you as well," he finally said.
Rey smiled at his reply then looked at Kylo. "I suppose I should thank you for saving me last night," she said, still acting slightly upset with him.
"You're welcome, my lady," he answered bowing slightly.
"But don't think that I can't take care of myself, if you hadn't came, I would've taken care of him myself."
"Of course," Kylo answered, even though he was slightly worried that that wasn't entirely true, she didn't even have a weapon, how could she defend herself?
"Well if it was in a argument, then I'm sure you would have won," Hux said.
Kylo nodded.
"Then I suppose it's settled," she said, then decided to change the subject. "What did he want anyway?"
"He thought we might be caring something valuable, dwarves are often merchants," Hux replied not wanting to tell her the truth in fear that she would not complete her task.
Kylo looked at him, wondering why he had just lied to her, her life might be in danger and she deserved to know.
Rey nodded. "Well, the only thing of value most hobbits have is food, he would have been disappointed if he stole my bags."
"Me too, then we would be hungry," Kylo answered.
Hux looked at him, shaking his head at the crumby reply.
But Rey nodded. "Wouldn't want to be stuck without my tea, biscuits, and cheese."
"Yes well we have a long way to go yet so we should probably set out," Hux said quickly becoming annoyed by the two foodies.
"I'll get my things," Rey replied, turning back into her room.
"We'll be waiting for you down stairs," Hux said walking away as well.
Kylo followed Hux down the stairs. "Why didn't you tell her the truth?"
"Because she would have been running as fast as her little legs could carry her back to the Shire," Hux replied.
"You don't know that," Kylo answered. "Besides, she deserves to know if her life might be in danger."
"Look Kylo her life is in danger either way, if she helps us she could die doing so. But she could also die if that ring falls into the wrong hands and it's better for her get hurt trying to save Middle Earth than just her own life," Hux said bluntly.
"But that should be her choice, not ours. Sacrificing ourselves for the good of Middle Earth is a noble deed, but sacrificing another, not giving them a choice isn't, we can't become evil to stop evil," Kylo replied.
"Well we can't just say that we lied either, then she'll definitely not want to come with us."
Kylo nodded. "You're right, and we'll protect her."
"Yes with our lives if it comes down to it" Hux agreed.
Kylo nodded in agreement.
A few moments later, Rey came down stairs and approached them.
"I'm ready," she said.
They both nodded and then they all set out into the unknown to save the world of Middle Earth from destruction.
