VN02's Birthday

Happy 19th Birthday, Vanessa!

The date was May 4th, 2020. Ciel was currently watching TV with Angelica [Agitation] and Stephanie [Silent Voice]. Sydney Watkins [Interviewer Miku] was talking about the car crash just an hour ago. A car crash that Vanessa Newton [VN02] and Danielle Dukes [Dancer] had been a part of.

Interviewer Miku: Unfortunately, the victims were 2 modules named Vanessa Newton, or VN02, and Danielle Dukes, or Dancer. Both modules have been brought to the hospital.

Agitation: Poor Vanessa and Dani.

Silent Voice: That's just what you get for drinking and driving, Danielle.

The girls didn't notice Ciel had left them to go upstairs to his room. He saw a topaz necklace on his bedside table and picked it up. Danielle's ghost showed up.

Dancer: Where am I? What happened to me?

Soleil's spirit also showed up.

Soleil: Dani, calm down. You're at the d'Aglior residence. You're a ghost now.

Dancer: So, I'm fucking dead?!

Soleil: Dani, no swearing. We have a rule about that around here.

Dancer: I can fucking swear whenever I damn want to!

Ciel was speechless as he watched the 2 ghosts fight.

Ame: QUIET!!!

Soleil and Danielle stopped speaking.

Ame: Thank you.

Ciel: Dani, where's Vanessa?

Dancer: Hell if I know.

Soleil: Her necklace didn't show up. So that means she's still alive.

Ciel: She must be at the hospital. I have to see her.

Dancer: Good luck with that, munchkin.

Soleil teleported Ciel to the hospital.

Ciel arrived at the entrance to the hospital. The lady at the front desk saw Ciel enter.

Lady: Wow! That was quite an entrance, Ciel.

Ciel: My sister teleported me here.

Lady: Teleportation? There's something you don't see everyday.

Ciel: I'm here to see Vanessa Newton.

Lady: Vanessa...Vanessa...ah, here we are. She's in room 319.

Ciel: Thank you.

He took the elevator up to the 3rd floor and found the room that he needed to go to. Ciel knocked on the door. Veronica Nongawitz [Spacy Nurse].

Spacy Nurse: Oh hi, Ciel. Wasn't expecting you, to be honest.

Ciel: Is she...okay?

Spacy Nurse: She will be. She only has cuts, scratches, and bruises.

Ciel: Thank goodness.

Spacy Nurse: I would say the same about Danielle, but she didn't survive the accident. She was drinking and driving.

Ciel: Can I see Vanessa?

Spacy Nurse: Sure. Come on in.

Ciel walked in the room and saw Vanessa with all kinds of tubes on her. She was awake, but she was out of energy.

VN02: Hi...Ciel.

Spacy Nurse: I'll be taking care of other patients now, Vanessa. Just hit that button if you need anything.

VN02: Can do.

Veronica then left the room.

Ciel: I saw you on the RealSyd Bulletin.

VN02: Oh...you did...? So, Dani really is gone...

Ciel: Yes. I got her necklace before coming here.

He showed Vanessa the topaz necklace around his neck.

VN02: So, there's 6 of those things around there...right? Including Soleil's.

Ciel: Yeah. Soleil, Rose, Reina, Aile, Ame, and now Dani.

VN02: I'm glad that Dani's gone.

Ciel: Why? She's your friend.

VN02: Yeah, but I became friends with her because she and I have some things in common. We both like to bully people. But now that she's dead, I'm no longer stuck with her. Anyway, why are YOU sad that Dani's gone?

Ciel: Well, she was a person. I know she's bad, but she didn't deserve that.

VN02: I know what you mean. But she practically lied to you! Remember that day when she punched you in the stomach when you had that bad stomachache?

Ciel: Yes. She apologized afterwards.

VN02: And yet she continues to do bad things to you and other modules that have disabilities. You should be happy that she's gone.

Ciel: Well, I'm not.

VN02: If you say so. Anyway, was there another reason on why you came to see me?

Ciel: I wanted to wish you a happy birthday.

VN02: Oh...well, thank you. I'm glad I'm not dead.

Ciel: If you were, I bet you would still be friends with Dani.

VN02: No, if I died, I would've told her that our friendship is over.

Ciel: Well, I'm glad you're going to be okay. By the way, when do you get out of here?

VN02: On the 10th, I believe. So I'm stuck here for awhile.

Ciel: I'll try my best to see you everyday.

VN02: Oh, you don't need to do that. You need to worry about your schoolwork and that coronavirus.

Ciel: I am. But you're more important right now. You need a friend. One that doesn't bully people.

VN02: I am getting out of here in a few days. I'll be fine. Please, for my sake, stay home. I can still video chat with you everyday. We'll stay in touch then.

Ciel: If that's what you want...

VN02: It is.

Ciel: Okay.

VN02: I know you want to see me everyday, but this stupid coronavirus is dangerous. You could get sick.

Ciel: I understand. We can still video chat.

VN02: Yeah. Well, you better head back. Tell Angelica hi for me.

Ciel: I will. Happy 19th birthday, Vanessa.

He teleported out of the hospital.
