Violets POV
"Wake up brat," said the evil owner said. You see, I live in an orphanage, and the owner hates me.
"Ugh, leave me alone and let me sleep," I snapped. I felt a sting on my arm, I looked over to her and saw a whip in her hand. I automatically regretted saying what I had just said.
"Is that the way you speak to me you ungrateful brat," She yelled. I nodded my head and began to get up. "Now get ready, we have special guest coming!" and they want to adopt a little girl. Make sure to look ugly so they don't adopt you."
"Yes ma'am," I say in an annoyed voice which will only cause me more of a problem if I don't get adopted.
"Get ready, they want a little girl. I would be shocked if they would want you." I rolled my eyes in my head, because I knew if she saw me roll my eyes I would get in more trouble later. I slowly got dressed in the only dress that I own. It was an ugly, puke green and had holes in the back. I knew that Mrs. would love it because she never wanted me to get adopted, she wanted me to stay so she could hurt me even more.
"You look perfect Violet," I heard from the door. "Just the right amount of ugly, so no one will want you," she always talked like this to me, "now go before I beat you."
"Yes ma'am," I said, speeding up so the punishment wouldn't be too much worse. As I got to the living room where there are 7 handsome men. What? Don't think an 8 year old girl doesn't know when people are good looking.
