Prologue

" I hate you " he yelled.
He quickly grabbed a white base ball bat and attempted to hit my head. I stopped him with my hand, his face filled with anger as he looked at me. He yanked my headphones out of my ear and just stared at me. I rolled my eyes and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. He fell shaking the furniture in the room.
(Fat assss)
I grabbed my headphones and ran. I was about a block away from his ghetto trap house when one of Tyrone pulled up. I turned, he had a fresh blunt in his mouth the breeze hit my mouth and I coughed. (I've never been one for smoking) He chuckles looking at me like I had five heads. "Whats up" he said.

"Nothing much you?"
The breeze hit my face again sending a wave of shivers down my spine. I gulped pulling my head down.

"Look at me when I'm taking to you"
I quickly brought my head up looking at him, tears started forming in my eyes from the chilly spring breeze. A purple and green low rider pulled up it was him, the monster I had just ran from. Jax. ( ooo damn ) I jumped and turning away facing Tyrone, I nervously stood there feeling sweat form. It was a good 5 seconds and I was completely zoned out focusing on a pink apartment building, that had long grass filled with weeds. I finally came back to reality when Jax honked his horn. I flinched and turned toward him. He was holding a pistol and aiming it at me. I uttered every single imaginable curse word it my head.
The awkward silence finally ended when he pointed his gun in the air and shot. He wasn't smart that's for sure, but he scared me and got my attention.
"What" I yelled
" You know what, you lead me on and try to act all tuff. You try to hookup with my best friend you're a dead man walking"
If looks could kill, oh boy start planning the funeral. His face was more angry then before.

"Tyrone, leave this is between me and Lexi"
Tyrone drove away of at the speed of light, he didn't need to be told twice. I saw Jax's was attention directed to Tyrones car, I took it as my chance and ran. I knew I hardly stood a chance Jax was faster and stronger then me. But I had the the element of surprise on my side. I ran around the corner and it to somebodies yard, I dove in to a big bush. I saw Jax drive around confused, I looked down at my cross necklace and kissed it. Jax was high key slow because he didn't see me and drove home, at least I thought. I waited there for about 5 minutes and ran to my safe spot. A abandoned skate park in the woods covered with graffiti, it was cozy and much better then "home". I live in a foster home with abusive foster parents who hated my guts. There wasn't anything else to say about them I usually never went home and hung out with Jax and his crew. You're probably wondering why he said I was sleeping with his friend, and I have to no clue. People just made rumors about me because they disliked me, it's whatever I have bigger issues to worry about. Me and Jax had been on and of for the past couple of years, he was abusive. But what can you expect when he's a gangbanger. (no shade) We both liked each other for the wrong reasons, he liked my for my body, I liked him for his looks. He would always hit or try to hit me because he didn't like my attitude. I heard faint sirens in the distance and I continued to zone out and think about life. It wasn't until heard the sirens get louder I looked up, sh*t. I forgot to mention the skate park was a popular place to drink and do drugs. So the cops probably thought I was doing drugs or something, I don't know I can't read minds. I quickly got up and ran, sh*t I was good at running, real good. I jumped over a small fence and eventually made it out of the woods. I got onto a back road, most of the lights on house where turning off. I didn't realize it but I had been sitting carelessly at the skate park for hours. I checked my phone and it was 9:17, that was good at least the crackheads weren't out yet. I sighed and walked down the road, my phone made a small beep noise. Usually no one texted me so I checked it, it was Jax.

Jax: I'm looking for you, you pulled a real stupid stunt earlier. Sleep with one eye open babe 😘

Lexi: Wow real classy, don't bother looking for me you won't find me.

My heart definitely skipped a couple beats while reading that. I knew if Jax found me I would be dead or tortured. Of course I had no where to go, I couldn't go home, or the skate park. So I walked to the park, and sat on a bench. I went on my phone and played some rap music will my headphones turned all the way up. ( she's trying to go deaf ) I got a little sleepy and began to close you eyes, but of course God had other plans. Great. My phone rang it was from a unknown caller, you best bet I answered.
"What" I mumbled nearly half asleep.
"Look it doesn't matter who I am all that matters it that you leave the park Jax and his crew are heading there"
"O-K"
They hung up and I grabbed my back pack I wasn't fast enough I heard a car pull up on the side of the road near the park with ghetto hood rat music blasting.
"Get out b*tch"
One of them shot a gun in the air. (Great now the whole hoods awake)
I ran and they saw me and chased after me, 4 of Jaxs friends chased after me. I ran onto a big bridge with cars soaring by. I was suddenly stopped by Jax. His friends surrounded me in a half circle while I learned against the side of the bridge trying not to look down to the water probably 25-35 feet deep. I felt a cold hand grab my face. Of course it was Jax

"I hate you I-"

I interrupted him " You already said that"

He rolled his eyes "You're talking a whole lot of sh*t for some one who is about to be dead"
I gulped, I wasn't going to show any fear though. Then I would be weak
"Boys drown the b*tch"
"What?" I mumbled
" You will see sweetie"
He breathed on me his breath was hot, I hated when he did that because I was 100% sure he had never brushed his teeth. While I was focusing on his bad breath his friend Blake grabbed my bag and threw it in the river below the bridge. I sighed
" What the hell" I yelled
"Go get it" Blake chuckled
Suddenly I felt hands lift me up it was Jax (wow surprising) he through me into the water. The water hit like a 1000 needles I swam around and thankfully found my bag and put it on my back. I thought I heard something and I looked up, it was a large tire. I got knocked out and everything went black. (they are creative tho give them that)
I woke up on the side of the river and coughed out water. I luckily knew where I was, I knew Springfield like the back of my hand. I was near Six flags. I only had a couple cuts and bruises I climbed up to the fence, I found a coffee shop and walked into the bathroom to clean up I changed clothes because I was drenched in dirty river water. yeah sure my new clothes were still wet but I felt cleaner I guess. My phone began to ring, sh*t I'm surprised it worked and I still had it. It was my foster parents.
" Lexi, you can't live with us any more your social worker is coming to pick you up in 2 hours where are you?"

" I stayed the night at a friends house I'll be there in a bit"

"k whatever"

I felt a wave of relief pass through me I wouldn't have to worry about my foster parents or Jax. I ran home which took 1 hour and 30 minutes i was just in time. The social worker pulled up.
" hey" she said
" Um hi" I said trying to sound friendly :/
"Your going to be staying with a new foster family" she smiled at me
" Where" i asked
she handed me a airplane ticket it said Palm Beach international airport
" Florida " she said with a evil smirk
" no that's so far" I pouted knowing she wouldn't change her mind
"Do you have everything" she asked
" umm yeah" I exclaimed
"Let's go then" she said
I walked into her car and we drove to Boston airport. I was getting ready to board the airplane and say good bye to my old life maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
