Alright, we back with another chapter. I really hope you guys think the final scene of this chapter was good. I honestly wouldn't know because I am the CEO of not being in a relationship. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and as always the italics are thoughts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kikyo's Pov
Finally! Lunch!
On my way out, I saw Todoroki pull Midoriya aside and I scrunched my eyebrows together. I could listen to their conservation and then get lunch. Sounds like a great plan to me. I stood up against a nearby wall where they couldn't see me but I could hear them.
"What did you want to talk about?" Midoriya asked.
There was silence making me assume Todoroki was probably glaring at him. Midoriya tried to tell him that the dining hall would be packed if they didn't hurry but there was more silence.
"I was overwhelmed," Todoroki admitted. "And it made me break the promise I made to myself a long time ago."
Oop.
"Iida and Kaminari, Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami, Uraraka," Todoroki named off. "None of them felt it."
I'm sorry, WHAT?
"In the moment, I was the only one who could sense your power."
...Oh...
I continued to listen to Todoroki as he compared All Might to Midoriya.
"Midoriya, tell me," Todoroki stated. "Are you really All Might's secret love child or something?"
My eyes went wide and my hand flew to my mouth to stop the laughs that threatened to spill out. I had to flee the scene, not wanting to get caught listening in on their conversation. Once I was far enough away from them, I let the laughs out.
"What the fuck!" I laughed.
Once I was done laughing, I wiped the stray tears that fell out of my eyes and went to go get lunch. I got my desired meal and fast-walked out of the dining hall to avoid Katsuki. I walked to the roof and sat down with my lunch tray in front of me.
Before I started eating I admired the cute faces Lunch Rush made with sushi, tempura, and rice balls. He knew I was going through a tough time with Katsuki because I accidentally let it slip when I was hangry. I smiled and picked up my chopsticks, splitting them from the top.
"Itadakimasu."
I started eating my food in peace and quiet, admiring the view from the tall school. At least until the door was kicked open making me jump and almost choke on my tempura. I coughed and took a sip of the iced caramel macchiato I ordered with my food.
"Holy shit," I muttered once everything finally went down properly.
"Idiot."
I looked over and saw Katsuki with his tray balanced on his hand like a waiter.
Well, in my defense you weren't supposed to find me.
"Takes one to know one." I shot back under my breath.
"What did you say?!" Katsuki yelled.
"Why do you always have to yell at the top of your lungs?" I sighed, ignoring his question and softly rubbing my temples.
I continued to eat my food in silence as he sat down across from me. He was eating curry like always while I read posts on my phone. There was an awkward silence between us that I didn't want to address. When I finished my food, I put the tray next to me while finishing my coffee. I chugged the rest and put the cup on top of the tray.
