"Please, don't go back to playing mind games with him" Valley pleads with Darren. "Why should I listen to you? I'm gonna prove to you why you should never even consider trying to distract me again" he replies to her pleads. "He's probably exhausted, he only recently arrived back here and it seems like it was a long journey" she points out. "Does it look like I give a fuck?!" He snaps a question at her. "No" she answers. "Glad you realised that, now time to prove just how worthless your efforts to distract me were" he tells her a vicious tone in his voice.
Calum lies down on his bed. He's relieved that so far there's been no sign of Darren appearing in his mind. I would have thought he would have started those dumb games he plays with me by now at least. Calum thinks to himself.
"Where are you going?" Valley asks Darren as she sees him walk out the restaurant. "Back home, I've had enough of this damn place" he replies to her. "Why can't you stay just a bit longer?" She asks him. "I know what you're trying to do but it isn't going to work this time" he replies to her. "Well I tried" she replies back to him shrugging a bit. "And failed miserably" he responds to her smirking. "Are you coming or not? We only took one car remember" he adds to his response. "I'll catch a taxi you go" she replies to him in a defeated tone of voice.
Darren drives back to his house. Time to teach that bitch a lesson. She really does care way too much about Calum so he's the one I'll target. Darren thinks to himself. "Long time no speak" he tells Calum through his thoughts. "Haha 'long time no speak' cause I've never seen you very funny" Calum replies back to him in a jokey tone. "I'll let you see me soon" he replies to him through his thoughts. "You said that ages ago and I still have no idea what the hell my frenemy looks like" he replies to him in a fed up tone. "I mean it this time" he replies to him through his thoughts. "Somehow I still don't believe you" he replies to him. "Meet me at the forest you know which one today and come alone or anyone you bring along with you dies" he tells him through his thoughts the last part in a threating manner. "Fine, I'll be there alone" he replies to him. "Good, I'll see you there" he replies to him through his thoughts.
And the psychopath strikes again. Ugh can't he just leave me alone! I'm so sick of this! Maybe I'll actually get to see what he looks like so if I ever see him around I'll know to be wary of him. But going alone... could I be walking into a trap? Is he gonna do something dangerous? I guess the only way to find out is to actually go there and see what the hell he wants. Calum thinks to himself.
I guess I shouldn't have distracted him. I know what he's capable of when he's really irritated. But at least I bought Calum some time to rest, right? I suppose it's not all bad. I'm terrified of Darren's next moves. He's a really scary person when you disappoint him. He's gonna do something that'll make me feel even more guilty for what I did. I have a feeling it isn't gonna be me he'll be hurting for my mistake though. I'll have to try my best to save Calum. But the problem is I have no idea when he's gonna accomplish the task of hurting him. Valley thinks to herself as she sits in the back of the taxi to get back home.
"Darren, you never told me what time I'm supposed to be meeting you in the forest" Calum tells Darren. "Oh silly me, with a mind as old as mine you forget to mention some important details sometimes, but meet me there at 11:00 pm tonight" he replies to him through his thoughts. "Thanks for clearing that up, why 11:00 pm though?" He replies to him and asks him a question. "Don't question it, just be there or face the consequences" he replies back to him through his thoughts. "Consequences? You didn't mention that the first time you told me to meet you?" He responds with questions confused. "I'm saying it now though" he responds back to him through his thoughts.
I'm gonna have to take a wild guess about where and when he's gonna be hurting Calum, I mean it definitely wouldn't be in his house cause as far as I know Darren can't physically enter Calum's house. He can enter it through his head though. I really wish I didn't help Dare get to Calum's head all those months ago. Maybe if Darren never saw Calum at the school I used to go to things would be different? I should kept to myself much more than I did even though Dare absolutely hated it when I did that. I shouldn't have told him the times when I would be at school. I should have waited until everyone left to leave school. He saw Calum around there when he was lurking around to watch me and he was desperate to gain control of his mind. He wanted me to lead Calum to him just as bad as he did months ago back then too. I'm glad he didn't get to mess with Calum's head when he was a teenager though. I remember when I was a teenager and what a bad affect it had on me mentally when Dare would mess with my head. It's traumatizing everything he does to his victims. You're never the same as you were before he targeted you. My guess is that he's gonna meet Calum at the nightclub at 11:30 pm so I'll go there. I better be right as Calum's life is at risk. Valley thinks to herself.
It's 10:30 pm. I'm still so tired but I need to stay awake so that I can meet Darren in the forest. I don't want to know the consequences of not going. I think either way I'm not safe, so I might as well do what he wants. That could be safer, right? Calum thinks to himself. He goes on his phone for a bit scrolling through his timeline on social media. Soon enough it's 10:45 pm. He puts his phone down and quickly gets ready to leave. He then heads out of his house and goes in the direction towards the forest he's supposed to meet Darren at. He leaves so hastily that he forgets to take his phone with him.
He finally reaches the forest. He roams around aimlessly. Suddenly he nearly walks into someone. "Watch where you're going Calum!" The person shouts at him a bit annoyed. "Darren?" He asks curiously. "Were you expecting to meet someone else here too?" The person replies. Calum finally looks at the stranger's face; his toxic green eyes stare directly at him. "Nope, just someone creepy like you Darren" he replies to him. "I didn't realise you were capable of calling me something like that to my face" Darren replies to him. "Do you always stare at people like that?" He asks him. "Like what Calum?" He asks back. "Like they're your prey" he replies to him. "Nope, only if they're my prey" he replies back to him. "I won't be your prey" he responds to him. "You keep telling yourself that pup" he responds back to him. "You're so annoying" he replies to him. "I get that a lot pup, I'm actually so used to hearing it that that word has no effect on me" Darren replies to Calum as runs a hand through his own dark hair. "I don't like you calling me pup!" he replies to him irritated with him. "Well, I'll call you whatever I want to call you puppy" he replies to him. "I don't think I gave you the permission to call me anything but my name" he replies back. "I don't need to ask permission to do anything Calum" he responds to him. "You look like Cade you know; except your hair is black and his is a light brown, your hair is a bit straighter than his and your eyes are a different shade of green to his" he tells him. "Are you trying to push my buttons?! I look nothing like that asshole even though we're related!" He replies to him in an annoyed tone. "I'm just saying, no need to get so worked up about it" he replies to him in a casual tone. "Don't you ever say anything like that again" he replies back to him in a warning tone. "Are you trying to intimidate me? Cause I really don't think you're passing; that was a terrible fail" he responds to him sassily. "I don't need you to sass me pup" he replies glaring at him.
Valley goes to the nightclub. She looks around to see if she could find Calum and Darren anywhere around there. She goes up to the bar area. "Hey Leo, tell me if you see Calum around here" she tells him. "Why? What's wrong?" he asks her. "He's in danger, I need to find him before it's too late" she replies to him. "I've not seen him around here for a while, I'll let you know if I do though" he replies back to her. "Thanks Leo" she responds to him. "I'm glad I can help Val" he replies to her.
"So, why were you so desperate for me to be here anyways?" Calum questions Darren. "You don't really want to know" he answers him. "I would have said so if I didn't" he replies to him. "How about I show you?" he replies a question to him as he pushes him towards a nearby tree. "Oh shit! Is it too late to back out of this meeting?" He replies another question back to him as he sees him start turning into his vampire form. "Of course it is, you shouldn't have come here pup, you won't be the person you were before you came here ever again" he answers him as he bites his wrist and shoves it in front of Calum's mouth. He tries to push his wrist away but Darren's wrist wouldn't move, forcing him to get a taste of the blood. He then removes his wrist from Calum's mouth and sinks his fangs into his neck.
Valley goes to the back of the nightclub. She looks around there to see if she could find Calum. Ugh! He isn't here, where else would Dare go? Omg I can't believe I didn't think of it before; the damn forest, I better not be too late... She thinks to herself. She then leaves the nightclub and goes in the direction of the forest.
"Get your fangs off of me!" Calum shouts in a demanding tone. "No can do pup" Darren replies to him he removes his fangs from his neck to reply that. He tries moving away from Darren but he's a lot slower than him and that doesn't do him much help. "Ugh! I wish you didn't have inhuman speed!" He shouts irritated. "I like having that advantage over you" he replies removing his fangs from his neck to reply that and sinks them back in soon after. "You're killing me!" He shouts again still irritated. "I know, that's the aim" he replies this time he doesn't remove his fangs from his neck. He tries pushing Darren's face away from his neck but it's no use his fangs have already sunk in too deep. "There's nothing you can do to stop me Calum" he tells him as he passes out. Valley finally makes it to the scene. "You're too late Valley" he tells her smirking as he leaves the scene and takes with Calum him.
No, no, no I should have been there earlier. I don't know what to do now. Wait no I do know, I need to go back to see Daphne, she can make him human again, I just hope she still has enough blood to do it. Valley thinks to herself as she leaves the forest too.
