The weyr was at full strength. There were nearly twenty dragonkin present; most of the weyr and some the weyr was familiar with that they had temporarily allowed near. They had nothing to fear; not the fierce Ai dinosaurs that they preyed upon nor strangers. The only thing that was odd was the absence of beloved Grandpa May.

A new member had recently been introduced to the weyr and they were planning tocelebrate with a Great Hunt and festive dance. The dragons of the weyr were very fond of dancing, whether to their own music of the music that all dragonkin knew instinctively. The newcomer, TieLendal, being accepted into their numbers officially was just an excuse to have a large scale party. Cena had taken out six or seven dragonkin to lead the Ai toward the weyr's gathering spot in front of Three Pond where the kill would be closer to the celebration. Tie Lendal himself was not currently present, but would show up later.

Things began to go wrong as the hunting party made mistakes. Lady was watching from a safe distance as the figures of her beloved family and friends danced about in the sky as they hunted. The air shook with the sound of plasma blasts and the roar of fire as fire dragons wounded their prey. She listened to their calls and realized something was going wrong.

Cena! There's one on the dune! Look out!!

Why are there so many Ai?! Who led so many over here?

I can't handle one, why do you think I can take on four?

     Cena! CENA!!

Lady flinched at the sudden loss of life. Everyone in the weyr could feel it. The dragonkin idling by the ponds suddenly took to the air and a war was waged on the unknowing Ai. Another two lives were lost. Lady began to pace nervously; the dragon she had been born into in this reincarnation was the helpless buff dragon. To top that all off, she was still young. She might be fast, but she was no match against an Ai.

As the war with the Ai waged on, a shadow flew over Lady, startling her. It was an unknown black plasma unconnected to the weyr. It ignored all attempts to connect and flew toward the warring dragons. Two of the five Ai dinosaurs had been brought down, leaving three more. The weyr was focused on taking down the threat and did not immediately pay any attention to the stranger. A grave mistake.

Lady felt her heart drop as the large black plasma opened it's mouth wide and reared back it's head. A blast of plasma shot out and directly hit Glay as she happened to fly past. Lady called out in alarm, but paused-something seemed...familiar about that plasma. She turned to look where it had come from and noted that the plasma had come from the direction of Grandma Rock. She turned her head just in time to see the plasma's second blast miss Glay and hit a full grown buff nearby.

Lady darted over to the body along with several others, trying to get a closer look at the new threat. Suddenly it hit her; May had not been at the pond and he had been last seen as...a full grown black plasma.

     It's Grandpa May! Grandpa May!

Lady called out half excitedly-half in terror. The dragons who had noticed and were going to Glay's rescue paused. The black plasma flew past Glay without shooting a third blast at her and they weyr calmed slightly. It was just May being playful...right?

This hesitation gave May enough time to pick an easier target; wyverns were tough for a single plasma to kill...he had to thin out the other dragonkin. He fired next on a dragon laying peacefully in the sands with a few hatchlings and young dragons around her. Three hits and the unsuspecting plasma was dead.

May did not let the dragonkin of the wyer recover for a moment; he was already picking out his next target and raining plasma bolts down on them.Lady glanced at an adult fire dragon near her and ran up to him.

Griever....Maybe we should go visit Grandma Rock, huh? Er...It might be safer there...

Griever looked down at Lady but did not respond. Instead he took to the air and went to confront May. Lady glanced around at the others of the Weyr, but she did not think any would heed her. She instead began to journey off on her own; she might not love being a buff, but she was one now and was not planning on being a baby for the celebration.

As she ran, more and more dragons began to break off from whatever they had been doing and went to confront the threat. Some had listened when Lady said it was May and they hesitated to attack. Others, however either ignored her words, had been too busy with the Ai to heed them, or knew May well enough to know what he was doing and flew in without pause.

Even with so many dragonkin attacking him, May did not back down at all. Instead he began to become more viscous in his attacks, taking down more and more dragonkin before finally, after more than half of the weyr had been downed, May was hit with a plasma blast that ended his life. Not long after, laughter could be heard in all the weyr's minds. Familiar laughter that only could mean trouble.

Lady stopped her mad dash for Grandma Rock and looked around. A tiny bouncing plasma ran out toward the remaining adults, screaming threats and evil promises. She suddenly realized exactly who she got her mischievous nature from...
