I can't believe you are actually going," Charlotte laughed. Me and Charlotte were in town looking at prom dresses for our school prom. Of course, I was going with Johnny, Charlotte was going stag, no surprise there, and Robbie asked a girl called Samara from his biology class. "Well, at least I'm going with Jamie so maybe I might actually have some fun."
"I mean I can't believe you're still going after Melissa's threat, have you even told Jamie about it?"
"No and I'm not going to. No matter what she says or does I'm going. I'm not letting them ruin my night again especially after Max's party."
"Speaking of Max, have you spoke to him?" Charlotte asked worriedly as she handed me a long white dress and pushed me into the changing room and then went into her own.
"I've spoken to him a little and we're still friends." I put the dress and glared into the mirror. The dress was pretty but I don't suit dresses. I came out of the changing room and so did Charlotte. "I kind of like mine." Charlotte did a twirl. It was a long burgundy dress with a fish tail bottom. Neither of us were the girly type so our wardrobe didn't contain any dresses. "What about mine?" I asked nervously.
"Looks too much like a wedding dress. Hold on." Charlotte said then ran off. A few minutes later, she ran over holding a gorgeous black and white tartan dress that would go down to my knees and screamed "this dress is perfect for you and I saw you eyeing it earlier."
"It's also way to expensive."
"So? Johnny is paying for your dress and he told me to make sure you pick the dress you love no matter what the price. Try it on at least." I rolled my eyes and took the dress and tried it on. The dress was stunning. It was my style. I love it but it was too much money. "There." I huffed.
"Hold still let me take a picture. Good."
"I'm taking it off now." I took it off and hanged it back on the hanger. I came out of the changing room but Charlotte wasn't there. "Char?" I walked around the shop but I couldn't see her until I saw her bright purple hair at the tills. "Char?"
"Oh hey, I just paid for the dresses."
"What?" I said in an angry tone.
"I sent the photo to Johnny and he loves it so he told me to get it and I have his card plus I took the tag off before I gave it to you because I know what you're like."
"Char..."
"Hush. Johnny said." We both started laughing. "By the way, what you wearing to prom with Jamie?"
"I'm going to wear the dress Mel got me for Christmas, it's the only dress I have and I can't be bothered to buy a new one." We headed out of the store to get the rest of the things we need for prom like shoes and disposable cameras but first we want hot chocolate.
