"Just Friends"

Alex's POV.

I woke up like I usually do and got ready for school. I put on my My Chemical Romance shirt with a flannel and black pants. Then I put on my converses, brushed my hair, did my makeup, and then woke my brother up. Once I woke up my little brother I got on my phone. A few minutes pass and my brother and I go to the bus stop. When I got on the bus everyone looked at me weirdly again. By this point I'm used to it, but it still feels weird having all of those eyes looking at me in the morning. I listened to music like I usually do on the bus. When we got off I went straight to my locker to get my stuff. That's when I saw her. Luna was my best friend and I realized not too long ago that I have feelings for her. I love her intimidating personality, creativity, and smarts. Her long brown hair was flowing in the wind whilst her multicolored eyes moving from her phone to me. I blushed a little but I don't think she could tell. My cheeks are pretty red naturally so it is kind of hard to tell if it's just my cheeks or if I'm blushing. She came up to me and greeted me like usual.
"Hey." She said in her usual monotone voice.
"What's up?" I greeted back.
"Nothing much just looking down upon you." She joked.
"I know I'm short but I can still kick someone's ass." I replied pretty confidently.
She looked at me up and down and smirked. "Maybe you can. But not me. You know I'm stronger than you."
I couldn't help but to agree. She was stronger than me. Most of it though is because I don't really like hurting people. I gave her a glance and she laughed knowing she had won.
"Come on dork we need to get to class." I told her. She nodded and we walked together. We had just about every class together but 1. We went to our home room class first. Our home room teacher was our favorite teacher. She was our second mother and she loved us. She never said it but we were her favorite students. Once class started I couldn't help but stare. I was staring at Luna. I just loved her so much. Yet, I could never tell her. It sucks when you love someone so much and can't tell them.
