*Beep Beep Beep*
I jumped awake as my annoying alarm clock buzzed to life at the most unfortunate hour. I moved my arm to turn it off and accidentally smacked something small onto the ground. Peering over the bed, I saw one of the crows staring back at me.
Oh no. Isn't that the mean one that glares all the time.
I saw it desperately try to fly. It's wings flapping hard but failing altogether and plummeting to the ground. Then I felt movement next to me and saw the orange crow squeaking at the crow on the ground.
Are they arguing? Why are they like this. For goodness sakes, it's only 6 in the morning.
I rubbed my eyes with the palms of my hands and saw the orange crow jumping up and down on the edge of the bed. The nearly bald crow and the crow with the blonde tuft were sneaking over to the orange one. The bald one then sprinted forward and knocked the orange one of the bed. I shot my hand out to try to catch it but I missed and the crow fell onto the one it was arguing with.
God. You guys are so annoying. I'm going to get a migraine and I haven't even been awake for 5 minutes.
I watched the 2 annoying crows on the edge of my bed and they made the same annoying squeaky sound as the annoying orange crow did. Getting an idea, I made sure they were still looking at the crows on the ground. Then, I snaked my hand behind both of them. "Hey!" I whispered to them. As soon as I said that, their heads both quickly turned to look at me. I smiled evilly at them and then shoved them off the bed. They both tried flying, but they fell straight down.
"Oh my God! What karma." I said quietly while trying to hold in my laughter. "The look on their little bird faces is priceless!" I covered my mouth with my hands and started calming myself down. I looked back down at the floor to see the crows looking up at me. They were squeaking at me again. They were being too loud.
*BANG*
My smile dropped and I became alert as I heard my mother's fist slam against her bedroom wall. All the crows who weren't already awake were woken up from that loud noise. The crows on the ground shut up and I slid out of my bed as quietly as I could. I picked them up and put them back on the bed. I said a quick and quiet sorry to the one I knocked over on accident. Moving away from the bed, I grabbed my uniform and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
45 minutes later, I stepped out of the bathroom with my uniform on, my hair in a bun on top of my head, and my teeth brushed. The crows were still all on my bed, besides the 2 sitting on my desk.
They must've been uncomfortable and cold the whole night. Why didn't they come sleep with the other crows? They must be fighting or something if they are willing to sacrifice comfort and warmth just to stay away from the others.
I walked around my bed to open the window to get fresh air. It was still dark outside, but at least there was some light. I opened my door and left my room. Going down to the kitchen, I turned on the stove to start making eggs and rice. Filling up a small pot with water, I set it on stove to boil.
Walking to the front door, I slipped my shoes on and went outside. I had to find the bird seeds I gave the crows yesterday. It wasn't where I left it.
Did mom find it? She would have asked questions when she came home. Did Bokuto move it when he helped me? Did the crows move it? Did the wind take the bag right out of my garden?
Possible scenarios went through my head as I was looking for the bag of seeds. After some searching around, I found the bag stuck in a rose bush. The crows must've hid it here. I took the bag out of the bush and held it by a corner. The bag was still wet and covered with dirt. I walked back inside and poured all of the seeds into a cereal bowl, then I put the bag in the trash can. Setting the bowl on the table, I got to work on finishing breakfast.
After eating a very ordinary breakfast, I put the dishes in the sink and took the cereal bowl upstairs with me. Upon entering my room, the crows all looked at me. I set the bowl on the ground and went to help the crows off the bed, but most of them jumped off and ran to the bowl of seeds. Only 5 remained, and I picked them up and set them on the ground. The cereal bowl wasn't big enough for all of them to eat out of at the same time, so I grabbed a handful of seeds and laid it in a line on the floor.
I noticed the 2 crows on the desk were still there. Although, it looked like the green one was trying to get the blonde one to come eat. I took a smaller handful of seeds and put it on the desk next to them. The green one looked grateful and bounced to eat the seeds. The blonde one was staring at me with disdain and didn't move.
"Oh, come on. Don't be stubborn. I know you're hungry so come eat. It's not poisoned." I coaxed the paranoid crow, and it started moving to go eat.
I picked up my bag and decided to leave the window open. Looking at the time on my phone, I realized school starts in 25 minutes. I started walking out of my room and closed the door, taking one last look at the small creatures.
Hopefully my mom will stay out. She rarely comes in, so let's hope she doesn't decide she needs to go through my things.
I walked down the stairs, into the living room and stopped in front of the door. I yelled bye to my mom, like I do every morning, and left the house. Going down the porch steps, I saw my garden. It looked bad, but at least it wasn't flooded. I opened the gate and stepped on the sidewalk. Time for another day of school.
